Today I am wearing black capri pants and a blue sweater. They also looked cute with cargo pants when I tried them on last night. I have a very non-busy wardrobe (lots of solid colors) and I am not overly hung up on my clothes being matchy-matchy, so I plan to wear them with lots of capris, khakis, etc. I'm not sure how they'll work with jeans. I haven't experimented with that yet.

I figured capris and cargos. We are beyond that weatherwise. Wearing with jeans will be tough b/c they are all so long and full at the ankle and feet now.

The change was made uptown when the big man joined the band.

eta: That reminds me, I forgot to ask him what he thought of the whole big band horn section sound on many songs (like Touch Me) found on his favorite Doors album.
I like the new record, except for the dull, slow songs. He's still searching for his "Desolation Row," and it doesn't exist. He's talented, but nowhere near Mr. Zimmerman's level.

On the Soft Parade, I love the horns. A perfect campy effect. The greatest use of horns will always be Waiting for Columbus. Lowell George was a genius.

Yeah, they are good LA winter shoes, but seem like they wouldn't work for that in most parts of the country. My shoe wardrobe consists of primarily open-toe shoes and I needed a casual (or causal) pair of closed-toe shoes for those months when I don't want to show my toes as much. Though I'm not above showing my toes all year round. The Brazenette and I just roll that way.

I am above showing my toes all year round. Frostbite demands respect, and I comply.

On an unrelated note, my son (my SON!!) says he loves the Red Sox, and when they were playing the Avocado Rockies, the score was 4-2 (at some point, in some game).

Yeah, it is now officially the most amazing, sensational, traumatic, heart rending ... exciting, thrilling finish in the history of college football.
You know, without the band on the field, I'm not sure it matches up. Plus, how many fans were in the stands? 12 (which I know is a lot for D-III).

I bought my wife a pair that looks something like this last year for Christmas when I was in a larger city for some depositions. They were a big hit.

Speaking of Our Saviour's Birth, I'm watching Versus NHL. What the hell is going on with the Minnesota Wild's uniforms? They look like Christmas elves.

I always did like that kid. I think I'll buy him a feather boa.

That's a very odd gift to buy, even for a woman. It's strange to be standing in front of a mirror in Needless Markup* trying them on and saying to the saleswoman, "I think this is what she wants."

I imagine the salesperson probably thought it was fun. It didn't look like a robust sales area in the store.

I know. I prefer the green ones. Maybe they're trying to blind the other team.
