Sorry, GWNK. GNR has struck again.
We had cold November Rain a few days ago. I did not attempt to hold a candle in it.

Howard Stern interviewed Slash maybe a week ago, because Slash has a book coming out.

It was actually a good interview, and both Howard and Slash sounded reasonably intelligent.

I may actually read the book, once it's out in paperback.

I think I felt a drop this morning and it is overcast and chilly. Not very LA-like. Depressing. Maybe I will have to move to Hawaii.

He then proves it to me by taking about 15 minutes of rambling discourse to explain something that should take about 5. I tell him that's fine, I'll help him with X, and he says Thanks, I'm going home now to get some sleep.

At the end of the conversation, he tells me in an aside that he's a bit surprised at where he is, because notwithstanding the lack of sleep, he still feels pretty functional. I explain to him that he's already passed the Rubicon. He only thinks he's still functional. Odds are, his colleagues in the office are just being kind, and neglecting to tell my friend that he's so out of it, he forgot to put on any clothes today.

Isn't that a common nightmare being at work nekkid?

I was having issued with "rubicon" and "lexicon" so when I googled it, so funny these explanations. I like the point of no return context.

Ok, here's a question for everyone. My ipod is chock full of music, most of which I bought through itunes, but some I transferred from my old CDs. When I am using shuffle mode in the ipod, the volume varies dramatically from song to song. That's annoying, because I have my ipod playing through my office stereo, and the volume goes up and down with each song. Is there any way to correct for that in the ipod?
There's a feature in iTunes called "sound check" that should equalize all the volumes to approximately the same level. Here's the info on it: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61655

My boyfriend djs from time to time, and for a lot of gigs, he uses iTunes to develop his playlists so he doesn't have to cart around all that much music for his gigs. He says that it's not a perfect solution, but it's better than having constantly to adjust volume from song to song to song.

I've seen him interviewed and thought the same thing. He's totally normal and sounds like a very decent guy.

Nikki Sixx does as well, but I'm not buying his book because his band sucked.

You know, you could have simply told me this directly, rather than concocting this not-so-elaborate ruse. As a woman, my ego is not so fragile.

My ipod is named Che Guevara and has only the songs that my running partner in 2005 loaded onto it. I really need to update the playlist. I wonder where I will find the time to do that......WAIT -- I DON'T HAVE TO WORK!!! I HAVE ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!!!!!

Congrats! That's wonderful. Best of luck with whatever it is you intend to do.

You know, I'm still looking for the site with Nickelback singing "let it Ride" on stage with Ryan Adams, but I can't find it.
