Additionally, and only somewhat relevant (and definitely not funny - sorry PLF), Tolkien created the Lord of the Rings as a vehicle for Elfin, which existed before the books.

What I meant was that it's a real language b/c it can be used for communication. Isn't language a communication of thoughts and feelings through a system of arbitrary signals, such as voice sounds, gestures, or written symbols?* Just b/c Tolkien created it out of thin air doesn't make it "fake". Samuel Morse created a language, didn't he? Morse code isn't considered a "fake" code.

Your explanation is as close as I could come to giving you the benefit of the doubt. Except the Morse Code part. Morse Code is not a language because all it is is a code for English letters and then one uses that code to re-create English words with the code letters.
