Ahem. Apropos of nothing, I had a dream that I was in Montreal with a client seeing a Canadiens game from the first row of the second level. (I have no idea if the Forum [sic] has such a layout, but I digress.) Every time the puck was in play near us, the crowd behind us fell onto us, smushing us against the glass (I know -- we were on the second level, but what can I say?), and then receding when the puck was on another part of the ice. But there was all sorts of stuff -- jackets, binoculars, etc. -- left behind each time. Bizzaro, no?

Based on the quoted language, I think it's because he cheated on her, she knew about it, and she didn't dump him. Or something. If he'd cheated in the past and gotten away with it, it seems like discovery of cheating would be less of a motive for murdering her.
