No wonder they remain neutral most of the time. Bright red makes a great target.

You just gotta keep on livin', man. L-I-V-I-N.

Three former high school classmates of "Dazed and Confused" director Richard Linklater have filed a lawsuit claiming they have suffered embarrassment and ridicule because of characters based on them in the movie.
  • "We had fun in high school, but there is nothing true about that movie. Yet, I am having to deal with it all the time," said Floyd, who works at a car dealership in Huntsville, Texas, where the men went to high school.

In other Linklater news, the Criterion DVD of Slacker is now shipping. Best Amazon reader review line: "This movie did for the 90's what FLASHDANCE did for the 80's." Sadly it does not come from the review written by "Claire Quilty."

Slacker- one of the 10 best movies ever made....
D&C- one of the most disappointing movies ever. If john hughes had started taking more dope and done it, it would a complete sucess, but after Slackers I expected something much different. getting high jokes are cool, I'm no high brow, but shoot Slackers was innovative and D&C? C'mon now.

To make a film is to improve on life, to arrange it to suit oneself . . . to construct something which is at once a new toy and a vase in which one can arrange in a permanent way the ideas one feels in the morning.

Every action is a positive action, even if it has a negative result.

Okay, great. Personal attacks now, is that it? I thought we were beyond that.

Texas SoL for tort claims is 2 years, for Defamation 1yr and NIED and FLP are not recognized at all. Nice venue shopping.

Oh, and I think Hank was just too old to enjoy the movie.

Even bilmore is young enough to "get" the movie.

Hank "liked" the movie.

Simply, anyone who really liked Slacker had to be disappointed by D&C. Slacker was close to a perfect movie, and unique. Cheech & Chong could have done D&C; that's all I'm saying.

It's kind of like when T. read my Seigfried and Roy take on parallels to black q-b's and rush. Then he expected more from me next time, and I continuely let him down. Having set high expectations isn't the audience's fault.

Why have you suddenly become a Red Sox fan? Yankees feel no pressure. We expect to win. Only way the Sox win is if Schilling pitches 28 shutout innings.
