I mean, I've done it at Starbucks while drinking a latte, but if you're going to go through the trouble of getting dressed and going out of the house for a meal, and all you can do is sit and read or sit and watch a movie, then just stay at home. Isn't the whole point of getting out of the house to socialize? I mean, at least part of it?
Well, the point can be to get food that you don't have to cook or dish up or anything yourself.

Must one socialize at breakfast at IHOP? This whole issue may turn on whether it's a dress up and go out kind of restaurant or a get food kind of restaurant. Personally, I think it's nearly always OK not to chat during the first meal of the day, unless it's some kind of event (e.g. brunch with the in-laws).

I have one, but it goes to the bottom of the toybox, and I only pull it out every now and then. The rabbit-y one isn't in as heavy rotation as some of the others, but I do like it quite a bit.

Yes. That's what I meant by "for the most part." Being a not-breakfast person, I'll accept your views on the silence at breakfast waiver. But when you see it at lunch or dinner - it's just sad. It's like an attempt to avoid the person you're with.

After reading so many of these posts, I would like you to list the items (or at least the number of toys) in your toybox.

Amazon.com tried to sell me some sort of erotiscillator yesterday. It was in my Gold Box. What the hell? I'll see if I can find a link.

(not that we chicks all couldn't use some good old-fashioned erotiscillatin')

here it is
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...s=hpc&n=507846

anyone have one?

eta (link is to a dildo - I clicked on it but you may not think it is work-appropriate)

Great. So there I go, rush to Amazon to check my gold box and all I have is crap jewelry and a wireless router. You must have different purchasing habits.

eta: that thing looks like some weird dental equipment.

I see it as people don't eat at home as much as they used to. Or avoiding, if they seem to hate each other, but it can also just be a companionable thing -- sitting with each other, reading, maybe commenting on what they are reading to each other. It's more a matter of demeanor than what exactly they are doing.

But what can I expect from someone who doesn't do the best meal of the day????

Weak on the biology, I know, but I thought it was supposed to go towards the top?

Yeah. I just don't "get" the whole breakfast thing. We didn't have breakfast when I was a kid. But my parents were weird. My mother liked to have pancakes for dinner and my father was just as happy to have corn flakes for dinner. My preference was pizza.

Breath mints? That's disgusting.

I was going to say any girl who lets me use nipple clamps can have bad breath, but then I remembered what the mints are for......

It isn't lazier just to sit there at your desk without moving your legs?
