Those went back in style after Sporty Spice wore 'em.

Everyone knows the proper terms are backpack -- and sprinkles. I can't believe this is still open to debate.

Not flattering to ALL figures, but low rise pants are definitely more flattering to non-flabby people than high rise pants or pants that rise to exactly the waist. High/waist rise pants give nearly everyone a FUPA (or gunt, depending on regional preference), even when none exists. Flat front low rise for me, please.

Concur on "backpack". Dissent on "sprinkles".

Next thing you know, you're going to tell us that the sweetened, carbonated beverage you drink out of a can is "pop". Sheesh.

Increasing hotness, one post at a time

MADRID, Spain -- Fashion models replaced traditional ball boys and girls in the biggest surprise Monday at the Tennis Masters Series in Madrid.

They're wearing too much clothing. If you're going to hire eye candy, just go for it already.

I went back home and went to sleep. I can always go to sleep.

My mother was freaked out, though.

eta - I grew out of the sleep walking. I sometimes talk in my sleep when I'm very tired, though. But I have to be completely exhausted.

In college, I was in bed with my gf (you know how small those beds are) and she must have turned a weird way because she pinched me and I flipped out, screaming at her, accusing her of trying to kill me -- absolutely furious. I stormed out, went to bathroom and woke up, breathing heavy and wondering why. I knew something had just happened, but didn't really know why I was so angry. She was a little freaked out by that. I came back in and told her that I was asleep when it happened when she asked me if I was off my rocker. I went right back to sleep. She didn't.

speaking of sleep, or rest, whose pitching staff will be better able to cope with the last few days?

I have no idea. But it's not like your eyes are closed. You're just not conscious or aware of what you're doing. Some other part of you is doing the driving. Muscle memory of the brain would be the best way to describe how it works,* I guess.

I'm going to give the advantage to Boston on the pitching, if only because Wakefield can stand up and throw four or five innings at the drop of a hat.

Not that it matters. Yankees in 6, damnit.

(Two great games last night, though. Wow.)

Never heard either of these terms. Are they the same as a "pooch?"

Sox/Yankees

Every member of Red Sox Nation was doing a Terry Francona imitation last night - bobbing back and forth like Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man. Big Papi is a very good hitter, very good hitter.

The collective pitching has been amazing, with the exception of the Red Sox in Game 3.

I hope the game gets rained out tonight. I need some sleep. I'm sure the teams, especially the pitching staff, would like a day off too.

Boston's. They always have Wakefield to just eat up innings. Just don't put him in in extra innings in a Game 7 at Yankee stadium.

Yankees? Pathetic.
World record for stranded runners?
