Glad you liked it.
Actually, you mistakenly recommended the 5th Street one, which also seemed like a good book. I have not read either, yet, but have been meaning to read the 4th Street one. Especially now that I know it is all about tits.

Do you use Operant Conditioning on the Displaced Dog too?

So, you're insisting on foreplay. Womyn.

Well, the horns work in Bitch and the sax works in cant You Hear Me Knocking, as do the horns in Happy, but there's no reason to lay a horn section onto tunes like Jumping Jack Flash or satisfaction. Those are guitar songs. Nothing sounds better than just guitar, bass, drums and a singer playing raw. Piano is fine, but too much keyboard also fucks up a song (think later Dead).

Of course, none of this applies to Traffic and Little Feat, the only bands who effectively use horns.

God, think of how much better 5:15 would be if Townsend hadn't put that stupid horn section into it.

This is a remarkable statement, even from you.

Well, it does help me with figuring out my ACL schedule. I was gonna see Rebirth, but now I know it'd be a waste of time.

[I hate you, Scott Tenneman.]
Does this have anything to do with Scott Tenorman, the title character of the funniest half hour of TV history?

[possible spoiler]
See Cartman drinking Scott's tears -- the tears of infinite sadness.

I will give Sebastian the benefit of the doubt, and assume he was not including New Orleans brass bands when setting forth the only bands that use horns effectively. Even with this benefit, however, it is a remarkable statement.

This ranks among the stupidest things you've ever said. Let me guess -- you have a gas grill, also.

Episodes saved on my Tivo

Aside from my wife's and my TV appearances (they're all her, except the one of us together, because they still haven't replayed my Pyramid episode, damn them), the things I'm never deleting from my TiVo are . . .

South Park - Scott Tenorman
Space Ghost - the one with Triumph the Insult Dog and the Retardos
SeaLab - Splitsville
SeaLab - the one where Quinn gets his vacation totally snaked

What about y'all? Priceless episodes of favorite shows that you keep on your Tivo for those long lazy weekends?

Not an Earth Wind and Fire fan, I take it.
