Here's what I don't understand, why is this even a topic? I think your time would be better spent examining the inconsistencies, inaccuracies and outright lies in Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911 so that you can appeal to the MPAA to effectively rescind your recent applause for the same.
Do you want I give you Hitchens' phone number?

Different team sports have different skills. If you think all you need to do to play soccer well (or even competently) is kick the ball and run fast, then it is pretty clear you have not played soccer (or at least not since you were in 4th grade).

Some of the people with the best combination of coordination and speed that I have ever known have been soccer players. I have also observed that these people are well above-average in most other sports as well.
I have ALSO observed that soccer players like drinking, smoking and drugging (at least in HS/College) more than the average athlete.

He still has the racket in his hand. But OK, I'll try harder.

For $1M/year I'd work anyplace in the US, whether or not the job was acceptable, as long as it didn't involve Thurgreed's mamma (I have some principles-she pays me).
And having scrolled and then posted, for $500K lump sum payment after taxes I would join the communist party, a lifetime membership.
For $250K lump sum after taxes I would vote for Hillary for President and give Thurgreed a foot massage. No pun intended. No offence.

And yet he plays tennis. 6'3" and 190 is what his stats say. Jan Michael Gambill. And damn fringey, that pic is from a site with some smokin hot australian footballers but it turns out it's a gay site and I wouldn't want you to get in trouble with the IT guys again. There's a smokin hot picture of my boy Brad and a nice vintage Calvin Klein shot of Marky Mark.
How about A&F?

People like sports they are accustomed to and Americans are not accustomed to watching soccer. There is nothing wrong with that. I like watching soccer and following the Tour in large part because I like playing soccer and cycling. If I liked to play baseball, I would probably find baseball less skullfuckingly boring.

Right. You need to be able to pretend like someone has just removed your kidneys with a spoon whenever you fall down if your opponent is standing within 500 feet of you. I forgot that part.

You can do better than that. Midland's not even the shittiest place within a 50 mile radius of Midland.* Hell, being from Midland is the first step to true power in this country.
*The following places within 50 miles of Midland are crappier, in order:
8. Big Spring
7. Monahans
6. Andrews
5. Pinwell
4. Crane
3. Notrees
2. Roughly 7800 square miles of desert
and, of course,
1. Odessa

Exactly how many afternoons off do you get for watching the footie down in the boozer?
