I'll agree with that. Tiger is perfect when he's on. Els is almost perfect all of the time.

How come people don't mention Phil? He has a great swing. Is it b/c he's a lefty? On that note, how come only left-handed batsmen are mentioned when people discuss baseball's best swing? Lefties do seem more fluid, but why? I'm right-handed but bat mostly lefty (I can switch hit in softball, but was too slow to hit righty in baseball), and it FEELS more fluid.
Excellent question. I've always wondered about this.

Also, whenever baseball analysts discuss lefty batters, they invariably conclude that lefties are excellent low ball hitters. This seems to coincide with the fact that they have better, prettier and more fluid swings. And I don't get it.

Here is an article that deals with the phenomenon tangentially.

Oh, and please, if you know the answer post it, no need to PM me.

1. What was PaigowPrincess's original log on name?

2. What does "OBE" stand for?

3. What was SlaveNoMore's original log on name?

4. How many GreedyAssociate boards and subforums were there on the Yahoo incarnation of the internet style lawyer chatting boards?

5. Other than Cornhole and Fugee who were the other 17 admins of the original successor to the Original GreedyAssociates Board on Yahoo?
You may want to slow down a bit. This is starting to sound a little like when Jimmy Hoffa got out of prison and wanted to jump right back into running the show.

If threats like this don't violate the TOS, we need an amendment.

Mattell is launching a clothing line for women based on Barbie. Obligatory link.

I'm speechless.

Unhappy

That is so frightening. A clothing line so you can look like Barbie????!!!!!

I know some adult or almost adult women who collect the "Collector's edition" type Barbies which always freaks me out but this is over-the-top.

Crackerjacks! The conclusion of my hiatus followed by the comeback of The Paigow prompting the reappearance of patentparanyc moves us fluidly, and yes, ineluctably towards an ironic distancing from the anti-oldskool movement which may in fact lead us back to the circular future of whatever past truths lie waiting to be ironically rediscovered. Definitely this period of the board's present portrays vast untapped philosophic horizons, much like the advent of television or the telegraph before it.

Vista la playa billmore, vista. la. playa.

It's the liberals' fault

Not only have the democrats' unwillingness to accept prayer in school caused Rush Limbaugh's drug addiction and small penis, they have now caused his divorce:

Sad News For Radio Host Rush Limbaugh

Rush Limbaugh, who has risen to fame and fortune as a conservative radio commentator, has announced that he and his wife, Marta, are divorcing after a 10-year marriage, reports The Associated Press.

Limbaugh's publicist said in a prepared statement that the couple "mutually decided to end their marriage of 10 years" and have "separated pending an amicable resolution." It was the third marriage for both Rush and Marta, who married on May 27, 1994 at the Virginia home of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Thomas conducted the ceremony.

Ah, the sanctity of marriage. Refreshing to see a conservative who isn't all twisted up over it, I say. He probably cares so little about it by this point that letting those homos in seems not an overly bad idea.

I was thinking about who has the best swing in golf the other day and it led to more questions, like who has the best swing in baseball, for example.

Best swing in golf: Ernie Els.

Best swing in baseball: Ken Griffey Jr. (everyone will argue that Bonds' swing is the best and they may be right, but in my opinion, Griffey has the prettiest swing I've ever seen).

Best stroke in basketball: Alan Houston. There's no question that Larry Bird was the best pure shooter, in my mind. But watching Alan Houston shoot is like watching warm butter being spread. It's just too smooth. Too bad he has no heart.

Best shot in Hockey: No fucking idea.

Would love to hear your opinions.

I don't think there's really a "best swing in hockey" - it's just not the same. Roenick is the best shooter.

Golf: They always say that Stuart Appelby has an amazing swing, but I like Adam Scott. That guy is fluid.

Baseball: As of a few years ago I would have said John Olerud. Now, I don't know. Certainly Bonds' results are beyond impressive.

Basketball: Steve Kerr at Arizona. Seriously though, I'm going with Tim Duncan. Or Kobe.

I think you are missing the gist of the point Ty, my good man. The issue is not whether or not the Flower responds to perceived socks (and I use one of those last two words loosely, iykwim) its the fact that he has the decency, that comes from his many years of experience on internet style lawyer chatting boards to extend a welcoming hand to any oldskool divas who have some inextricable connection with the board's past. Its a healthful respect for our history. And you know what Santana said about that.

Anyhoo, given that its a slo-Monday, but we have the benefit of historical vestiges of the golden age of the boards, are there any specific topics that we can discuss? I tried a little quiz to get the ball rollin, but it didn't actually seem to take off. Thoughts? Maybe if I had offered a prize?

It is true that the more conservative a man is, the smaller his penis is.
