Okay, I call bullshit.

There is NO WAY this guy was just sitting there minding his own business, sneaking the occassional golf clap when a Sox player had a nice play. I'm not saying the Yankees were right, but the guy probably deserved a beat down.

Of course, both teams suck, so what can you expect? The only thing worse than a Boston fan at Camden Yards is a Yankees fan, but the difference is marginal compared to the distance both outpace the rest of the pack.

It was clear the moment I watched it that that's what he should have done. Either that, or wrap him up. No need to try to hurt him. The guy is a fucking geezer. .

You are detached from reality. The scenario you just described is comical. There is no need to let Zimmer punch him. There is also no need to fling him as hard as he could to the ground. I don't think any other baseball players would have acted the way he did.

Yes, I'm sure the decision was real easy from your lazy-boy. Pedro was just as surprised (or more) as everyone else that an old man was charging him. Look, I'm not saying Pedro isn't dirty. He most definitely is. But the old man should have known better. Pedro had a split second to wonder "what in god's name is going on? Who is charging me? Is that Zimmer? Is he going to keep coming at me? JESUS THIS OLD MAN IS OFF HIS FUCKING ROCKER!" And so he pushed him down.

"Fling" him? Are you serious? You've been living in lawyer world for too long.

If the bullpen incident happened in NY, or for that matter, any other city, other than that rube hick fucking shithole of a city filled to the brim with dicklicking drunken motherfucking assholes, is there any question that the "groundskeeper" would have been tossed? Is there any question security or the police would have intervened before the players did?
classic.

And if you took "beating up non-players is the way of the game" from what I just wrote, I've only got three words for you: Crack is wack. My point was that any and every team, including your loser Sox would have reacted the same exact way if they saw a teamate fighting with a non player. That is not the way of sports. That's the reality of sports. You are choosing to ignore that reality and are labeling the Yankees as bullies for behavior they would be just as guilty of.

I already admitted Clemens was insane. But that takes nothing away from Pedro's bullshit cowardice. And you saying "So what?" shows me that you are blinded by the loser's loyalty mentality that is so prevelant in Boston.

Again, because he's an old man, you idiot. If your 8-toothed, smelly, geriatric momma rushed me for calling you a loser, I wouldn't bitch slap her just because she wanted in on the fight. I would back off, tell her to calm down and then bitch slap you.

What's classic here is I can just some picture some old gray haired coot, 72....52 even, knocking you on your sorry ass. Of course, I'm sure that after it happened you would justify it by claiming that he was really in great shape for his age and plus you backed off cuz he was an old guy.

Classic. Indeed.

Split second? I think you've been living in fantasy world too long. Zimmer ain't exactly spry. Maybe you should watch the video again. Pedro saw Zimmer coming at him and had time to ask "what" two times. He also had time to think everything you just said. He could have easily assessed the actual threat that was being posed and dealt with it without even touching Zimmer. Plenty of time.

You need to watch that video again, smartass. Pedro grabbed him by the neck and flung him, as hard as his 160 pound body could, onto the ground.

Yes but Pedro was clearly outweighed. If he had not reacted, there could have been an ugly sitting-on incident. Damn fat people throwing their weight around must be stopped.

I thought salmon lived in rivers, not the ocean.

But the REALLY important point I have to make here is that the ONLY time I have enjoyed salmon is the time I caught it myself. (Well, I like lox and peppered nova, etc., but I mean a slab of fish cooked on a grill or something -- no smoking process.)

When I caught salmon, it was in Alaska, on a river. But maybe it swam over from the ocean; what do I know? I didn't ask it.

In fairness, I need to correct the above, Billmore just PM'd me, he's only 51.

This is why you are a rube, your city is second rate and why you will never win anything. That is why God plays a cruel joke on you every 25 years or so. "The ball, gets by Buckner!"

There was a need to intervene, before asshole boy got his face stomped in. It was when he opened his darling little yap in the Yankee bullpen. In NY, where we now pay very close attention to these types of things because the morons in your city let a bunch of lunatics with knives on planes, we call this "defusing". That's what NY cops do. That's why they won't let me stand, pissing, over the side rail of the bleachers into the sox pen, screaming about Timlin's momma squealing like the dirty little pig she is.

Cool Greetings!

Hi everyone! Long time lurker. First time poster. I used to follow along back on that other board (the name of which we shall not speak here!!! ), but then everyone left! Anyway, it took me a while to find you guys here, but I finally did. I have been lurking here for a while. I saw a few other newbers get flamed to high heaven when they jumped in too quickly and I certainly did not want to make that mistake!!!!! With that in mind, I am not going to say too much. I know I'll probably get a few flames anyway. I look forward to the initiation!!!! But for now, I'll take the cocktail party advice. Although, honestly, I don't get invited to all that many cocktail parties. But that's O.K., 'cuz I get the feeling that not too many of you all do either!!! UH OH!!! I have a feeling my nether regions are going to get a little singed for that one. Well, flame away, my greedy brethren!!! I can take it (I hope...........)

Oh boy! My first flame and I have did not even have a chance to get my Greetings message out yet. Well, I have been bracing myself for this type of reaction. I am honored that my first flame comes from none other than Mr. Penske!!!! Who else can claim such a distinction? Anyone? Bueller?
