That is what I was thinking he would say, and that is really cool. Thinking that big cats are genetically identical to house cats other than the size, you figure that at some point the cat will get mad and go at you. Even if it still likes you. For me it is pretty much only when FBers come into my cat's lair at 2 a.m. on a Thursday that my cat will get so upset he will go after me... Can you blame him?

Now that the playoff hopes of both the A's and Giants have exploded like the Hindenburg, do you think that the folks at Fox are hoping for a Cubs-Red Sox series?
Meanwhile, the Giants and the A's now have the winter free for baserunning lessons.
With the 49ers and Raiders in a Carter-era malaise, Bay Area sports looks mighty grim.
Thank God Los Angeles stations can spend the airtime that they would spend on the Rams following the Kobe trial and Laker training camp.
It's times like these that I wish I was a reality TV fan.
Is c2ed from Boston or something? *Sigh*

I fell asleep with last night's game well in hand with five minutes left in the fourth quarter. My bucs had a 35-14 lead. This morning, I hear they lost! In OT!
How is this even possible?
My awful sports year continues.

I cannot help. I fell asleep at 28-14, feeling bad for Tony Dungy for getting pummeled on MNF on his birthday.
I am absolutely nauseated thinking about it. Well, that and the fact the Cowboys have a better record and the Texans have the same record.

Apropos of nothing, you know that you are a slob when you clean your office before you take off for a few days, and upon your return people remark to you how they couldn't believe how fabulous it looked.
One person actually said "it glowed."
Of course that makes me wonder if someone has put some sort of uranium or something in my office.
This is still better than the time one of my bosses freaked out because I cleaned off my desk and he thought I was quitting.
I should have said yes, now give me a raise and I'll stay.
Damn my honesty.

Really? Wow. I went to bed around the same time, figuring that there was no point in finishing the game. Hmm. I'd feel sorry for you Tampa people, but it's still not quite losing a 35-3 lead in the playoffs. In Buffalo.

There was plenty to keep me busy, including numb-asses who would come into court with fucking photo displays, license plate numbers of cars parked where they were ticketed and not ticketed during the weeks following the ticket, stories of police not obeying speed limits, accusations that running radar/speed traps was entrapment, blah, blah, blah -- all in an effort to get out of a ticket. Sheesh, pay the ticket and quit wasting my time you moron.

Oh and Thrasher, then maybe it's finally time to retire that godforsaken indian war chant thingie they do that is so horribly irritating.
I think that's the real problem with the Braves.
And please root for the A's tonight for Slave.
|
Update: I did root for the A's --- see what happened. I will now be rooting for the Yankees and Marlins. In the WS I will root for the Cubs. You all heard it here first -- the BoSox win the World Series. Place your bets now.
Regarding the war chant -- sure it is silly, but people enjoy group participation stuff. It isn't any sillier than those stupid "terrible towels" and bangy stick thingies along with the plethora of other gimmicks that sports teams use. If you give me your address I will be happy to send you the 10,000 foam tomahawks that I have been handed at the gate this year alone.

I am saddened to learn that the FB is now only at most two months ahead of fashion trends in suburban Detroit, quite possibly the most boring (and unfashionable) place in America. *
And Flower, you're too slow on the draw. All this time off is hurting your game.
* other than North Dakota, where boring is a registered trademark.

what the hell is wrong with people? how can a brandy be part of a mixed drink*? have you ever heard of a grappa sour?
I used to be able to go into a bar when the world got too confusing, but if even that last refuge has people taking fucking brandy and making it SOUR, I may not leave my manse again.
*stingers and alexanders don't make sense and are limited to fringe groups (college freshmen)- people are talking about this as if it makes sense.
