Well, I am Not Amused (hi Not Bob!) by women who don't like sports and think sports are the sole domain of men.
I love sports, lots of sports. It's not a pretension, it's a reality.
Now, if I mention that my library contains a novel by Mike Lupica, and books by John Feinstein, John Madden, and a retired NFL referree, then you might have grounds to raise an issue that I am just trying to look like a sports geek. Or that I am a sports geek. Either way.

I am very amused by the fact that there are some homeless people, who seem, at least on the surface, happier than you.

Who is......google......oh, ohhhhhhhhhh. Why? Now people will think of her when I post and see her instead of the great avatar that Leagl gave me. She's funny looking and I saw her on a show once (not Survivor, some behind the scenes thing or something) and she's a lot meaner than I am. She must smoke a lot too because she is deep and raspy whereas I sound semi-deep and sultry. I see in her bio that this freak gets up at 2am -- WTF, I haven't even gone to bed yet.
Can you please think "not quite so deep but kinda Marlene Dietrich-ish" when you read my posts.

For a tribute album, I think it's good. Although I wish kd lang and not Diana Krall had done Crazy.

The SO purchased this to add to our already obscenely large CD collection. On the first listen, I didn't like it very much. Subsequent listenings have softened me somewhat, and I agree that k.d. lang would have been perfect for "Crazy." I couldn't stand Martina McBride's rendition of "Sweet Dreams." The back-up singers ruined it.
Dua(I prefer Patsy's versions)lit

Aha! I heart sports. You just dont hear me advertising it. Except tennis of course. But even then, it is mostly to talk about how cute the men are. And tennis is okay bc it is a sport women play or played or could play.

Yes, yes, trimmed (but only because the FB-talk made me self-conscious), yes, Bud Ice Light, I have three bottle coozies ("Budweiser," "24 hrs in a day, 24 beers in a case - Coincidence?," and "Buffalo Bills.") Yeah, that's me -- sex in a bottle without even trying.

They sell dogs? I thought they were a phone company? Are you taking the dogs back to work with you? Do they allow pets at your office? If so, can I work there?

Which brings us back to Lisa Guerrero. WTF?
As I was looking for info on the end of last night's game, I came across this:

Why is this woman not on the sidelines instead of LG?

Thoughts on last night's baseball game
Part 1 in a 2 part series:
Didn't get to watch as much of this game as I'd have liked, but I saw the 9th, and saw the highlights.
Could Manny have taken a little longer to get to first base after taking Zito deep? If I weren't a big Barry/Rickey fan, I'd be pissed. Instead, hats off.
What the hell was Kevin Millar thinking in not charging that 'going-foul' grounder with 2 down in the 9th? Ecchh that could have turned out badly.
Hey Oakland - you live by the walk, sometimes you die by the called third strike. No question those pitches by Lowe were strikes. And very mean ones too. Wow. Does he get some movement on his sinker or what!
Hard to say whose bullpen is worse, New York or Boston.
The pitching matchup is looking like Pedro and Clemens starting games 3 and 7? I go with the Sox.

MNF Thoughts
I got to watch the last 2 minutes of the MNF and the overtime of the Colts big comeback. Pretty much all I've got to say is that the officials made two of the worst calls I've ever seen. That "running into the punter" call that Tupa drew was outrageous. And it serves the Bucs right that they lost.
That said, the call on Simeon Rice is the worst call I've ever seen in an NFL game. The single worst call. All I can think of is that the officials were told by Tags to flag someone for leaping during the MNF game because it's happening lots around the league. So they figured - "idiot kicker's not going to miss this one, so I can call a meaningless leaping penalty on Simeon, it will be declined, game over, and teams will now be on notice about leaping." Problem is, as he's throwing the flag, he didn't see idiot kicker hook the ball wide. But now that the kick was bad, he can't go saying, "whoops, my bad." Rekick, doink, game over.
And yeah, the Bucs secondary was pitiful, but you gotta cut them some slack because it wasn't exactly their A-team out there.
