I liked this article so I thought I'd post it

http://www.globeandmail.com/servlet/...International/

He predicts the potential downfall of the NHL because of the Dany Heatley car crash, which is a little extreme and made me feel sad, but it is a nice comment on Dan Snyder (also made me sad).

What?!? They named a kid Jiz? You have GOT to be kidding. That's just gross.

I hate this trend more than I can possibly express. "This is my daughter Morgan [or worse, Brittany, or Skylar (WTF?!?) or Hunter] Finklestein." Uh, what? The first name has to go with the last name!! The retarded wife of my brother-in-law has come up with a doozy of a name for her soon-to-be-born child that transgresses, in the most egregious fashion, this unwritten law of nature. (However, seeing as it's her, I can't say I'm surprised...)

I believe the line is: "Dress shabbily, they notice the dress; dress impeccably, they notice the woman." However, Sigourney was making a comment about Melanie's jewelry, I think, in the movie. I think she said something like, "You look great! [ominous pause...] You might want to rethink the jewelry...." [as she's reading over something on her desk]. Man, she was the perfect bitch in that movie.

I have a question...does everyone in here look and sound like someone to you? Just curious.

BTW, you, in my mind, look and sound like Jami Gertz in Less than Zero except for sometimes when you look and sound like Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction.
The answer is "no". Only people who have left a distinct enough impression that they remind me of someone. The impression may have come from one post, like there was a time tht PJ sounded just like Merecenary Melissa from Joe Dough and that stuck. And of course, thy have to be people I havent met. I dont have one for you at the moment. probably bc you seem like someone I would know. Although, SD seems like someone I would know but I picture him to look like a tall thin shaggy brown haired guy with blue eyes who I might have gone to school with at some poit. nothing totally distinctive.

Do you not get Susan Hawk from Thrashers? Who else could she be?

I picture myself as Maud Lebowski bcI am not exactly paigow. I assume you got Jami Gertz from the time I said "behoove"? I dont remember her in that movie, but generally, I dont like her or her voice. I am gussins Uma from my avatar? She is not that different from Maud if you think about it.

You took my #1 "not amused" answer. I am tired of having people tell me their baby's name and having to pretend that they are not idiots for naming their kid something repulsive. If it doesn't look half-decent on a business card it shouldn't be used.

Also Not Amused by:

People who think they shouldn't be billed for phone calls, especially if they were calling about a relative's legal problem rather than their own.

People who park really close to my driver's side in their humongo-mobiles so I can't fit into my car.

Responding to idiot form-discovery that doesn't even apply to the case at hand.

Anyone who has their secretary call *me* to ask me to "please hold" for Mr. X because the lazy-ass can't be bothered to actually dial the numbers to call me himself. (I have never seen a woman do this - only men, often Doctors).

"Primetime Glick" suffers from Beavis & Butt-Head Syndrome, in that it has only two solid laughs in 22 minutes. However, the recurring joke in which Jiminy talks about his four darling boys (Morgan, Mason, Matthew and Modine) makes me laugh every time.

The rest of the time it's a cheap rip-off of The Outside Scoop with Jackie Harvey.

Nice. Reminded me that 80mph is 130 kilometers per hour and also of that time I was stopped on the QE and actually escaped a ticket by acting surprised that it was 100 KILOMETERS per hour--:doh3:

Hockey will hit the shitter unless they solve this collective bargaining issue. A lockout next year will drive away the fans who have not already left because of ticket prices. Do you think this is what players like Ted Lindsey had in mind when they started dreaming of a union. I like unions, but Ihave trouble thinking of them for guys making millions of dollars.

As always, I recommend the NHL Center Ice package to anyone like me who is interested in watching about 40 games a week on 12 channels. I need to build me one of those multi-screen television walls one of these days.

Too bad Ilya Kovalchuk wasn't in the car.

Brittany is also a bimbo name. As a general rule of thumb, if you're going to name your daughter that or anything ending in "i", you might as well put a downpayment on her implants, bleach job, and cheap nylon lingerie wardrobe now, because she's got no hope for any job that doesn't involve disrobing in front of Howard Stern.

More progress in the struggle for practical robotic sex toys.

A vibrator that plugs into a USB port, and runs off the laptop batteries. Fringey disclosure: THIS SITE SELLS A VIBRATOR THAT PLUGS INTO A USB PORT, AND RUNS OFF THE LAPTOP BATTERIES.

Suddenly, business class just got a lot more interesting.

It's a quantum leap forward from the diesel Rabbits y'all were talking about this morning.

Edited to add the Fringey disclosure.

I would like to formally request that Leagl make a smilie available that would adequately represent my feelings when reading this post. Don't fuck with Kovie, ya bastard, he is all that I have left. Besides, he is my screensaver and if he had been in the car I would have felt inclined to find a new one.

I have had a woman (lawyer) do this to me -- guess what city she practices in? I think she's the only one who has ever done this to me.

PJ sounds like Julie Andrews in my head. BRC sounds like Sandra Bearnhardt (in a good way).

In my head, SD sounds and looks like my boyfriend from high school. It's the sarcasm, I think.

Nope. I think maybe Thrasher voilates the "someone I could know" rule. I feel like she's someone I've had wings with (extra hot...fuck the blue cheese...and a pitcher of beer).

I don't know why. It just is.

For anyone else who is wondering, I associate the following celebrities/characters with the following FBer's:

notcasesensitive: Leah Thompson
TM: Robert Deniro in Taxi Driver
Atticus: My 11th and 12th grade english teacher
Leagl: Jeanne Tripplehorn
spookyfish: ed norton

As excited as I am about this innovation, I am not too excited to note that I just viewed a sex toy/porn movie sales site on my work computer. Spree?

I am also curious who Paigow thinks I sound like.
