Actually, this was not a side effect of the "failure to scroll" syndrome. More of a side effect of the OCD (needing to check my messages several times before posting....)

Not that you really care, of course. (Nah, I know you care, fringey!)

Of course I care! Note my caution about naming your kid after a medication. If that's not showing the love, I don't know what is.

**Again, it is so unfortunate that Donatella Versace has a daughter called this -- because the association ruins what was otherwise a very nice name! (It is perhaps even more unfortunate that I know this fact about Donatella-freakin'-Versace!)
I did not know that India Arie was a tart, and you might as well call your daughter fexofendine.

edit because fuck fringey beat me to it. But I had graphics.

I think I'm with nfh on this - once a name is used to brand a product, it is no longer a Good Name.* Stripper names are essentially product names, so strippers may continue to use the many variants of Lexus and Porsche.

* My personal "Seven" was once Heineken Alabama. Fortunately, this and my tatoo idea were never implemented.

This probably goes without saying, but I had already heard. I might have even declared it so. But, I have been so distracted recently drafting my upcoming Lawtalkers Retirement Announcement Post that I have not really been able to focus on much else.

Hey -- I like the sound of that!! (And that's sure not to make any top 100 lists....)

You are all correct -- to have the same name as a medication is a definite buzz-kill.

I don't even know India's last name (the PR tart/singer). So I'm not sure if it's the same one. The one I'm thinking of was openly going out with Juan Gonzalez (the baseball player) while he was married (and not to her). The same way Camilla Parker-Bowles is a tart!

That has a nice ring. And if it hasn't been done yet (but knowing lawyer types, I'm guessing it has been), you simply MUST do it. Perhaps she and Hunter could do play time together.

which reminds me of the time my father was in the hospital, and his obviously pregnant nurse was in the room. My father asked if it was a boy or a girl. Girl, she said.
He asked if she had picked a name and she said yes, Kloreen. And I said, like the bleach?
And she said no, not Clorox, Kloreen, K-L-O-R-E-E-N. And then I said well isn't that....nevermind.

He did manage to get his ass (his model ass) the hell out of Iowa. And granted, maybe he only has a high-school education, but I never heard anyone say.."you know that Demi, she sure had high SAT's."
Not sure about her IQ, but she has money, connections through her own career and her ex-hubby, a nice body and many people find her to be good looking. Perhaps Ashton is a complete Einstein for snatching her up -- it isn't likely to hurt his career any. I do not think that he is quite the extreme fool that he portrays himself as, but he doesn't look exceptionally bright. He is not, IMHO, that attractive and I think she could have found someone more attractive with a better resume. She has power while he has a played out show on MTV -- maybe she likes it that way. That is all.

Above-the-neck notwithstanding, you should check out some of his Calvin Klein ads. He's not so bad. Better than her, with the plastic surgery, caps, implants, lipo (yes lipo), and she has no waist.

Edited to add - not that he's my type, I'm just saying I can see what the 14 year olds see in him when they're kissing his Tiger Beat pictures.

Ashton Kutcher has a degree in engineering from Purdue.

I'm sure that those of you who attended schools such as Notre Dame and Michigan will agree that this does not in any way negate the thesis that he's an idiot, but it is considered by many to be a good school.

Cool. I find it highly disturbing that you know this, but cool.

And when will "Phoning It In: The Later Years" be available at my local Wal-Mart bin?

Yes, I shall regret this but I do not at this moment.
