How is the house valued and when was it purchased? I fight tooth and nail to keep the "value" of my house down for tax purposes, but I do all sorts of things to it to bring the "value" up for resale purposes. In my county, which can't be too differenlty structured than Tarrent County, the tax assessor can only start with the purchase price, and they can't raise the value beyond a certain percentage each year. So the value according to the tax assessor may be very different from what the market considers its value to be. Also, the dollar goes a hell of a lot further for real estate purposes in Texas, especially a smaller town like Ft. Worth, than it does in lots of other parts of the contry.

My guess is that the idiot probably goes to/went to Ft. Worth Country Day with a bunch of similarly situated idiots, and really thought he was all that.
