A Wrinkle in Time" has been filmed and will supposedly air as a miniseries on The Wonderful World of Disney (the ABC Sunday show you remember as a kid) at some future date uncertain. It was supposed to air in Fall 2002; no word on why it was delayed.
"A Ring of Endless Light" was on the Disney Channel last summer. It might be on video. I lost interest after about six minutes, but my wife, who had actually read the South Carolina books, was transported to her childhood. It struck me as "Flipper" with an Anglican theology overlay.
Never heard of the Swiss boarding school books, but I'm intrigued. Especially if they could film them with Traci Lords, and especially if everyone is often very naughty. Could make a lot of money.
