No I wasn't. I highly recommend gathering as much information as possible about those you work with on a routine basis. You never know when you will need to use it.
Just make sure that there aren't any of those hidden cameras installed in the offices if you are going to rumage through partner's desks. Or have a good excuse that you were looking for something important ready incase there is a hidden camera.
