Newsflash: Everyone besides Thom and Carson are useless. And Thom has become the funniest one on the show as well as the most talented. Each of the other 3 has their moments, but they're filler.

I also disagree that the show is over and the people who've watched up to this point are full of shit when they say they're done with it (they'll watch and race to their computers to bitch about it now). It's still a fun show and the multi-reveal is what makes it worth watching.

So if he is Thai, Chinese, Black, Native American and White (with apparently the Thai and Chinese together being the largest percent of his heritage according to the article CtD linked), what *is* his "race?" Does it depend on his skin color? He has black skin so he has to be black and behave a certain way to be true to his blackness? If his skin was light would he then be Asian?

I've listened to black** women friends bemoan the number of well-educated professional black men who marry white women thereby reducing the pool of guys they'd want to date. Because of that I'd probably feel like I was "poaching" if I dated a black man. (**how they self-identify themselves)

Maybe I'm naive because I grew up in a place where a "mixed marriage" was a Swede with a Norwegian or, heaven forbid, a German. But I still don't think a person's identify has to come from only the most obvious part of his or her heritage.

I always find the show frustrating when they do the reveal of the interior design, because I have a hard time taking it all in -- the editing is too choppy, the camera work is too contrived, and they're too quick to move on to Kyan's explanation of how to shave.

Having darker skin makes a huge difference on whether one can pull off the shaved head look. Or maybe just having the ability to get a tan on one's head. The few times I've shaved the head (for various reasons), it's looked ok b/c my mom is 100% Italian and thus passed on her darker skin to me. Of course, she clearly hates her heritage and herself b/c she married a non-Italian.

I think Thom contributes the most. Carson carries his weight, but he tends to dress everyone like they are eurotrash. His risque comments are a little too forced now too. I think he could be replaced with someone better. You are right about Eddie ("Kyan"...HA!). How many times can you tell people that they should shave with the grain.

It looked particularly good that time you shaved the nike swoosh into it for the marathon. Especially after you painted it blue.

He never dates non-whites. I don't think he has even so much as dated an italian.
