How many fearsome terrorists are going to be deterred from crossing an unguarded 3,000 mile border by the passport requirement? While the rest of us have to get passports for the 2 year olds.

The Bush administration just likes intrusive government.
I saw a segment on CNN (or some such) about a border crossing WAY up north in Minnesota, near Lake of the Woods. It is an unmanned booth with a video phone in it.

I am sure that the new passport requirement will really cut down on illegal crossings there.
