I think more men would be ok with him paying $200 for a hooker than women.

Funny you ignore the first half of my post.
I guess it's ok to fuck some people over if in the end you get a few sheckles for the blessed "common man" (whoever that is).

You changed the subject. You suggested that Edwards thinks he purer than Ivory soap. I said I doubt it. So you started talking about bad things that plaintiffs' lawyers do. I'm sure they do lots of bad things. I've seen some of them. I respect some of them, and others not so much. Condemning them all makes as much sense as condemning all high-school teachers.

I don't think it's OK, but I also don't see you saying anything about Edwards in particular. When you have the goods on him, I'm all ears.

Is it too soon to point out that the mass shooting at Wounded Knee was worse than this week's?

True, though that doesn't seem to have been a shooting per se.

A Flat Tax Proposal

What I find rather intriguing is that from 1986 to 2004, the share of taxes paid by the top 1 percentile of income earners increased from 25% to 37%. Source (IRS excel table)

That would seem to follow logically from the growing gap between the upper income strata and the lower.

Tyrone,
Apples to rubber ball comparison. That was not a mass shooting, it was a battle in an ongoing armed conflict between distinct nation-state entities. In that category, Gettysburg trumps Wounded Knee by approximately 163 times.

If Wounded Knee was a battle, then so was Waco. Actually, the Branch Davidians were much better armed.

Exactly why I get my news from Dailykos, Salon, Instapundit.
I used to do all my research on Volkovh as well.
And when I really want the inside skinny, Le Monde's the only thing I trust.

Anyone who has read the latest Pynchon would realize that dynamite can be just as deadly as bullet, and used in a fairly similar way.
