You got a cite for that? I've seen some studies that estimate over 100,000 dead.

I consider myself a liberal, and I am fairly confident that you do as well. I completely disagree with what Rove said. I don't know a single liberal who wasn't in favor of direct military action against those responsible for 9/11...
Now, having reviewed where the liberals I know stood on 9/11 and the events taking place since then, please explain to me what part, if any, of Rove's statement was true.
|
Within seconds, I was able to Google up a quote from Michael Moore, which proved every sentiment of Rove's to be true.
Did "liberals" from all around the country denounce his remarks? Did they ostracize from the media.
No. They honored the fat fuck with a Palm D'Or and a seat next to Carter at the Democratic Convention. They lined up in droves to see his schlock on screen and fork over money to buy his books at Borders.
But he isn't representative of the "liberals" in this country you say? Rove is a liar, you say. Hogwash.

And do you ignore that the US has about 12 times as many people?

This is besides the point. The point is how many people were killed by Saddam Hussein every year he was in power, and how many people would he have killed had he remained in power.

Whose point? Did you read club's post? Sidd's response did not seem to be beside club's comment. If you want to have a discussion about how many people Saddam killed, you will need to put it out there instead of characterizing a response to a different question as non-responsive to the issue that you want to discuss, but that is not actually being discussed.
p.s. between MR's crap and slave's crap, I gotta say I don't like the "can't ignore the mods" rule. God.

You can ignore the mods. You can't ignore the admins. Have I annoyed you with this response? At least a little bit?

It is quite the accomplishment to annoy me, even a little bit. You kind of have.
I can't ignore a mod without going to an admin and getting them to set it up. I just tried to put sebby on ignore and got a message saying I can't ignore mods/admins. But you are correct, I can have that done. Happily Iron Steve is not a mod or an admin. Unhappily people seem to quote his photoshopped crapola.

It could mean really quite long (almost too long) and average thickness, actually. Sorry if that upsets/annoys you.

Whose point? The whole discussion. They were comparing violence in Iraq to the violence in the United States, which, as I said, really has no bearing on whether the Iraqi invasion was the correct policy for the United States. Spending a lot of time on the issue was a waste of time, because either way the stats point does not really effect the big question. The point was they were getting sidetracked on an non-relevant issue. I think my point was obvious to everyone, except for you. And being that arrogance and ignorance always seem to go together, you being the one who did not understand it, were the only one that commented on it.

Removing someone's viscera and throwing them on a fire while keeping them awake/alive is an accomplishment as well.
