Wisconsin Strip Clubs Register Voters

Thu May 20, 3:14 PM ET

By XIAO ZHANG, Associated Press Writer

BELOIT, Wis. - Strip club owners are putting a little bada-bing in the presidential campaign by asking patrons to turn their eyes away from the stage for a moment to fill out a voter registration form — and then vote against President Bush (news - web sites).

"It's not to say our industry loves John Kerry (news - web sites) or anything like that," said Dave Manack, associate publisher of E.D. Publications, which publishes Exotic Dancer magazine. "But George Bush, if he's re-elected, it could be very damaging to our industry."

Wisconsin Strip Clubs Register Voters
from the article...
ACE members in Ohio have registered about 2,000 people in just a few weeks, said chapter president Luke Liakos, who calls Attorney General John Ashcroft (news - web sites) "the American Taliban." Liakos also is trying to form a coalition in Cleveland between strip clubs, other adult businesses such as adult bookstores and gay clubs.

I just have this image of guys like Spooky, taking a break from their "business" in a bookstore to sign. I don't want to touch the pen next, for sure.

You can say anything you want about the real issues, but from now on you'll aways be the guy who voted against strippering.

For shame.

Yes, but Clinton came four years later. So, what does that have to do with the post to which I responded?

P.S. Surely you would agree that Bush I, as a general matter, deserves credit for his deft management of U.S. foreign policy during the breakup of the U.S.S.R. and the liberation of Easteern Europe?

Please Ty. We could have given the entire show to the UN, but they would not have taken it.

And anything good that happened with the economy in the first part of 2000. And anything good that happened w/r/t 9/11.

And anything bad that happened in 1993 was not the fault of Reagan or Bush Sr.
