By this definition, the Israeli Army's actions against protesters in Rafah makes it terrorists. The same with our attack on the wedding party, according to Slave's logic (if the bad guys are using women and children as shields, tough for them).

Even if you don't use Slave's logic, we are already terrorists b/c we sponsor Israel.

You must be on crack. According to the Isreali army, they did not intentionally kill civilians. That is what the palestinians are alleging, but that is not what the Israelis said happened.
I don't know which version is correct, and find it hilarious (and telling) that you seem to think you do know.
Funny how you always accept the palestinian version of what happened. Actually it is not funny. It is sad.
I don't think our forces intentionally kill civilians being used as human shields.

Sure. They accidentally killed lots of unarmed protesters.

Please give another example where I have ever done this. And please don't post while you are looking, because we could all use the break.
I'm no fan of any Palestinian leader. They have all failed their people, IMHO. What Rafah shows, again, is that non-violent resistance would accomplish a lot for the Palestinians, but none of their leaders are up to the task.

Slave was advocating it yesterday.
Oh, and the crack line is mine. Please cease and desist from using it, or I will have a pack of cutthroat soft IP lawyers on your ass like Ashcroft on a microphone.

Ty, you frequently take an anti-Isreal position and blindly accept the palestinian version. I am not bothering to provide you with a cite. You know what I am saying is accurate.

You are full of shit. Making shit up and posting it as if it has some basis in reality is becoming an increasing pattern with you. It's getting tiresome. If you're going to be a troll, people will stop responding to you. Go and find a post where I've taken an anti-Israeli position or blindly accepted the Palestinian version. Go on.

- Stewart Stock Up 20 Pct on Legal Advisory
May 21, 2004 1:39:00 PM ET
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Shares of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. (MSO) rose as high as 20 percent on Friday, following a report that a perjury charge is expected to be filed against a U.S. Secret Service employee involved in the Martha Stewart stock-manipulation case.
The U.S. Attorney's Office said that they were planning a press conference ``to announce the filing of charges against a government official for having committed perjury in a major prosecution.''
The U.S. Attorney's office declined to comment on what the matter was in reference to. The company was not immediately available to comment.
NBC News reported that matter was linked to the Martha Stewart case.
Martha Stewart's stock rose as high as $10.40, before trading up $1.45 at $10 on the New York Stock Exchange at mid-afternoon.

New Trial for Martha?
http://www.thestreet.com/funds/gregg.../10161702.html
- New Charges Reportedly Planned in Stewart Probe
The U.S. Attorney in New York reportedly will announce perjury charges Friday against a government employee involved in the prosecution of Martha Stewart. The news caused shares of Martha Stewart Living (MSO:NYSE - commentary - research) to spike 20% at midday.
Prosecutors plan a 2 p.m. EDT news conference to announce charges against the suspect, a Secret Service agent, NBC News reported. Officials with the U.S. Attorney's Office confirmed the news conference.
Stewart and her former Merrill Lynch broker, Peter Bacanovic, were convicted in March of lying to the government about Stewart's sale of about 4,000 shares of ImClone Systems (IMCL:Nasdaq - commentary - research) in December 2001. Both are awaiting sentencing next month.
Among other things, Bacanovic was charged with altering a spread-sheet record of Stewart's stock sales, an allegation for which the government called the chief forensic scientist of the Secret Service for testimony. The agent, Larry Stewart, testified that the ink used to make a notation on the sheet was different from other ink on the page.
The government contended Bacanovic had changed it to cover up the sale. Ironically, making and using false documents was the one count on which Bacanovic was acquitted.

In retrospect, that seems like a reasonable attempt to try to co-opt the other side.

Powell hates SUVs too
But, Powell said, because of Americans' desire "for different kinds of automobiles" — a reference to the huge gas-guzzlers that many Americans drive — the United States is importing close to 58 percent of its petroleum needs.
