Maybe you people are partial to redheads. I'm not so much.
OK, maybe a little resemblance, but I didn't think he looked like him so much. Maybe moreso now.

What Deer Eat.
... or should.
- Italian police busted two would-be marijuana cultivators after "unusually frisky" deer alerted the authorities as to the presence of their mountaintop dope plantation, UPI reports.
Locals in Trento began telling tales of the abnormally high-spirited animals, while forest rangers began to wonder why the normally shy and straight-laced cervine population was letting it all hang out by day and "making great leaps on the mountainside".
Rangers duly made their way to the top of the suspect mountain, and discovered "some plant pots and shredded marijuana". The pair responsible for the high-altitude high facility - a factory worker and a university student in their 20s - were cuffed when they ascended the peak on a harvesting mission.
Despite the seemingly damning nature of the prosecution's case, defence lawyers say the charges may yet be dropped since the deer had eaten most of the evidence.

While I am not disputing her beauty, it looks like there was a bit of pre-PhotoShop torso-trimming done to that photo of her.

I think Ava is a pretty name. I think there's been a resurgence lately in "old fashioned" names like Ava and Lily.
My name apparently peaked in the 70s and 80s and has been on a fairly steady decline. My middle name has gained some popularity, but it's never made it past 350 or so in the mid 1990s.
You want to see a decline? Check out a 75 year review of Ruth. Even worse, my grandmother's Dorothy. My other grandmother's Gloria suffered as well, but nearly as badly. Of their sisters Margaret, Josephine and Verna (doesn't make the list past 1973) and Dolores, Luz and Helen, Margaret and Luz are the only ones that come close to holding steady.
My mom's Barbara was number 2 when she was born, now it's in the 600s. Her middle name Jayne hasn't made the list since 1981, which I find very werid. Her sister Marilyn has been declining since the 30s too, even during the 50s and 60s. I find it disturbing that the "similar name" Madisyn beats out Marilyn by 100 spots.

I also think Ava is a pretty name. Perhaps if I get a female pet, I will name it Ava.

I think it's the corset.
I was watching "Les Girls" a few weeks ago, and I was pretty overwhelmed at how utterly tiny Mitzi Gaynor and Kay Kendall's waists were. There's no way that they could have been photoshopped.

My name barely made the Top 1000 in the year I was born (and hovered barely on or off the list for most of my life). It is much more popular today than I've ever known it to be. Finally broke the top 300 last year for the first time.
Now I'm off to check how my gramma's name has been doing (though I think I know the answer - her name is Edith).
ETA: Edith was a top 30 name when she was named, is now in the 600's.
And, is it wrong that the first thing I thought when I saw that Social Security compiles these lists was how much more fun it would be to be the baby name list compiler for the SSA than to be doing my present job? Could one of the fancy-schmancy government lawyers who frequent the boards try to hook a girl up here? I'm sure I could compile the lists remotely from LA. TIA!

Mine has been declining in popularity since a couple years after I was born. My grandmother's name (Olga) was more popular than mine around the turn of the last century, but has since surpassed mine in unpopularity.

Could be -- photo retouching is Not New; it's just much easier now. Or it could be the corset.
AoN, there are some great pictures from this era in the new Sammy Davis book -- he apparently was quite the amatuer photographer. I was leafing through it the other day, and there is a wonderful picture of Frank rehearsing in his Las Vegas hotel room in pajamas.

I am not partial to redheads, and I have often stated my preference for dark hair and dark eyes. That said, I am a fan of ATTRACTIVE features and I do not find horsey features attractive. I recognize that many people find the features I describe as "horsey" to be attractive and signs of "good breeding" but I do not find these features attractive.
I do not think Harry is uberhot or anything. I just believe he is more attractive than William.
