According the charts, my name is also declining in popularity. I recently talked to someone (rather moronic) who said they'd never known anyone with my name. I had to laugh when, the next day, I talked to a client's daughter, who is 19 and has my name. She asked me to call someone else, who also had the same first name.

Also, when I went on a term abroad in college, 3 out of the 4 women on the trip shared the same first name.
I thought about naming the Brazenette "Ava" after my grandfather, Abraham. Instead, my best friend went and died, and so my daughter has that name that about every other girl born between 1965 and 1975 has.

I know 3 children named Blake... two little girls and a little boy. I know two little girls named Blaze (although one spells it Blayse).

The Brazenette's camp counselors this summer are Clarrisa, Marrisa, Alysa, Brooke and Brittany.

I do not think Harry is uberhot or anything. I just believe he is more attractive than William.
I think both of the princes are attractive enough, especially when I factor in that they are richer than I am.

I like it, but I'm not sure that my kid would forgive me if I named her Mitzi.
My daughter was going to be "Hazel Katherine." both grand mothers told us she would hate the name, but we stood fast. It's is a beautiful artisty name, were we the progressive cool parents! plus we were positive we were having a boy, so it was just hypothetical anyway.

When the water broke and the doc told us it was going to be a girl that name got changed real quick- to Katherine Hazel, so if she got arty she could still go with it.

ps- the link doesn't work for me so I can't check any names.

My sister thought she was avoiding the popular names when she named my almost 7 year old niece Ava.

Popularity increase likely due to celebrity kids:

Heather Locklear's 10 y.o. daughter is named Ava.
Reese Witherspoon's 7 1/2 y.o. daughter is named Ava.
Hugh Jackman has a daughter Ava as does Kevin Dillon.

Please. I'm sure the servants do that for her.

Kay is short for Kathleen, no? (At least it is in the Irish-American neighborhoods of the Ancestral Homeland.) And Mitzi sounds like a nickname, too.

And that same sense will keep you from becoming a grapefruit titted old cougar, whether you're single or involved.

My mother's name is enjoying a resurgence in popularity thanks to a certain senator-cum-presidential candidate.

That's correct, her name is Barack.

I saw Ocean's 13 over the weekend, and at some point, they call Ellen Barkin's character a cougar. Her tits were definitely a defining point of the character, but I didn't think she looked all that bad.

That's not a real name. It's a joke like Lemonjello or Nosmo King, right?
