This is getting covered (not just in this article) as if it is a new thing, but as the article points out, it hasn't been new for over 40 years. What's next, "Computers replace typewriters in offices"?

Nice work, Jon. Don't fuck with Phil, Andy.
So, I've recently been watching 30 Rock reruns (on my iPhone*) and until today, I couldn't think of anyone who could play Baldwin's character better. Hartman would have been even funnier.

And apparently the honeybees all disappeared in 1987.

Disagree. Baldwin's character is actually somewhat believable. I would have trouble getting past Hartman's innate comedy aura, which prevails over any other trait of his. I often laugh just by looking at him. While Hartman is one of the funniest people ever, Baldwin is a better actor, and I think that part requires some acting.

I remember exactly where I was (a grocery store in Hague, NY) when I heard that he was dead.

Bonus: The likelihood I'd ever run into anyone I know there is pretty much zero.

Did you know that the first season (at least. That's all we've watched so far) of The Electric Company starred Rita Moreno, Bill Cosby and Morgan Freeman?
