She could take up smoking. It's probably less expensive than a gym and it's helped my sister keep her svelte shape! Skinny little bitch.

I lost about ten pounds during the six weeks my rib was broken. So there's that option too.

It would be, but who gets the showers for the last 15 minutes before it pulls into the station? You'd need a separate shower car.

I don't really know. I didn't work out quite as much, so I probably ate a little less. I probably lost a bit of muscle because I couldn't lift heavy weights for the first bit. But my theory is that my body expended energy just healing, so that caused weight to come off.

How hard is it to keep a moving bike upright? If you can't keep the stationary bike upright, well, then spinning class participants must be bigger pansies than even flower has led us to believe.

I'm currently facing the fact that living in a swamp is no place to live. Yet I'm still here.

One could perforate and infect some organ in the digestive tract -- I bet that would be really effective. Or the always popular appendicitis.

Coke or crack. Ask ABBA and her future second husband.

Since other people focused on the exercise half of this, I'll just say that in my own, non-scientific opinion, the key to weighing what you want to weigh is what you eat. Exercising helps -- IMHO, again -- by making you feel healthy, which can reinforce the choice to take care of yourself in other ways, but most people don't burn enough calories exercising to afford themselves different eating habits. No one forces you to eat poorly, but if you feel that eating in a way that's healthy is depriving or punishing yourself, then you're not going to do it for very long. You have to find a balance that you're happy with, both in terms of what kind of shape you're in and in terms of what you eat, or it's not going to work in the long run. That may mean that you eat a ton and a weigh a ton, which is fine, if that's what you want. IMHO, exercise plays a small part in this.

ppnyc, you have to decide what works for you. it will probably annoy people if you whine about being fat when you could be working out in lieu of other activities, but as long as you don't freak out about them being annoyed, who cares? You have to recognize and acknowledge that you have made a choice not to work out if you aren't going to work out, though. It may be the best choice for you right now, but it is still a choice.
Stop it.

ppnyc is fat because not only does she not exercise, but she eats too much. if she had a healthy diet (and we know her desk drawers and cabinets at home are stuffed with high sugar, salt and fat content products), she would drop 20 pounds without working out. If she spent 20 minutes a day exercising, she would not lose out on time with her kids and she would lose even more weight.

But she wasn't really looking for anyone to help her with this problem. She wanted someone (even if it was 1 person out of everyone here) to make it sound like they cared about her and/or her problem, because she is a pathetic whore for attention. And you know what? She will seize on your post as the one that is defending her, therefore making you her best friend. Between hot dogs, she will translate what you said into, "One of my friends on the lawyer board said that I am beautiful just the way I am and I shouldn't worry about what other people think."

But we all knew this already, didn't we?

Don't knock the side benefits, though. Between gym, hose car, and ABBA's new career, I think we've designed the new Acela over the course of a single day.
