Generally, in the lexicon of cooking, the term "regional" is not necesssarily confined to geography. Another example would be "Mediterranean cuisine," which includes such foods as gyros or doner, a type of cooking that developed organically throughout the geographic area stretching from the Fertile Crescent to the Balkans.
Did I happen to mention that I have devoted some time to the study of cooking and cuisine?

Which region developed the blueberry squishy?

The downside of ACL is that all the bands that come through Austin tend to do a show in Houston the day before or the day after their ACL set. They haven't announced it yet, but I imagine that Wilco will be in Houston when I am in Austin.

I'm in DC on the date of the Crowded House/Pete Yorn show in LA (and on the dates of all the Crowded House shows in southern California this summer). I cannot even begin to express how unhappy this piece of news made me a couple of weeks ago.
ETA: The upside of the dilemma you just mentioned is if you decide not to go to the festival events, you get to see some pretty cool shows. The LA show schedule (many of them in small venues and not widely announced) every year before and after Coachella is pretty sweet.

What makes you think I read the reviews? I just skimmed the numbers at metacritic.
My position is that the new White Stripes album is both 1) a subtle and groundbreaking work of genius that will so completely change how we think of and categorize music that magazines like Spin and Rolling Stone will be bankrupt by the end of the year, and 2) a worthless piece of garbage that can only be appreciated by 14 year old boys who have not yet learned to masturbate, with the only possible redeeming value being that there is a slight chance that the album is an elaborate practical joke/fuck you to the music-listening public.

The only circumstances under which I would fuck Meg are if I had the opportunity.

The content, or the writing? The content was actually quite well written, compared to Lindsay's stuff. The handwriting is juvenile. I guess she does not write much.
ETA maybe really she didn't write it herself, but subcontracted it out to small children in a foreign land?

I know it when i see it
I watched "I eat 33,000 calories a day" last night. i think it was on discovery network. Anyways, it was about 5 or 6 really really fat people, like 500-800 pounds. they showed them each basically nude or in underwear, and they also showed a table piled with all they food they eat in a normal day. My favorite was this 800 lb. black guy who figured "fuck it" and started eating more food off the table even though he had already eaten all of that that day, and even though the stuff on the table was to illustrate a point- he was like "I'll illustrate the point!' Tough love can't stop a hungry gut.
Anyway every 10 minutes or so they cut to some scientist-yawn who babbled about hormones and genetic makeup and crap. It was really like in old porno where they had to stick in educational content or it was illegal, redeeming social value, and a scientist would talk about how the behavior was normal, given the girl's abnormality. But everyone knows what we are looking at it for.
The bacon and eggs from the British pubs looked really good. I wonder if I was born in the UK, would I still be a perfect specimen?

This is just my way of thanking everybody for all the interminable sports babble that makes me miss the good old days when Paigow and Slave used to fight over who was the more dysfunctional.
