Lunch discussion
The three young ladies at the table next to ours at lunch were having a rather animated discussion about pubic hair removal. One was expressing her disappointment that the $600 laser treatment for her bikini line was only on the sides, just like a regular bikini wax, and didn't tackle the whole offending area. Another volunteered to call her dermatologist and find out if that clinics laser treatments were a full package deal or just the sides. Unfortunately, the dermatologist's office staff was also at lunch, and we couldn't get a report on how much, exactly, pubic hair is removed with their laser.
My understanding is that the laser treatments in Houston average around $150 per session and four sessions generally do the trick. The woman who called her dermatologist was concerned because, as she said "I have really dark hair," and she didn't want to go into such an endeavor without some assurances that it would work in the four sessions. Apparently the dermatologist gave appropriate assurances.
My father and I had difficulty concentrating on our own conversation while the pubic laser discussion was going on.
