I read somewhere that Rob and Amber would be back, along with Uchenna and Joyce, the Guidos, and Charla and Myrna. I can't remember who else was listed. Are Rob and Amber trying to win some kind of award for most reality shows? They annoy the living hell out of me and I really don't want to look at them any more.

Hikers - Top Story!
While We Are Bitching About Things...
How is it that the top story for the last 4 days is these missing hikers who wandered up Mount Hood in the winter? There is nothing else going on in the world that is more important than finding them? This is like some twisted corrolary to the Missing White Woman phenomenon. Because of the found SF family story (sorry, Jack), now any missing people in the northwest are national news? How many people go missing on Everest or other mountains per year? Why are Oregon/the federal government expending the resources that they are to find guys who voluntarily went out hiking on a mountain during the winter? Over 60 hikers on the mountain now in bad weather to try to find the remaining two?
Assumption of risk holds no water in the real world today, I guess.

But you are right, at least he will be mocked for life over running away.

How does Isiah Thomas get no sanctions? How, Bilmore, how?

It was better this season. The family version was just totally misguided because they wanted cute little kids on it. I would have liked to see them eat 2 pounds of caviar or a bucket of fried crickets.
Rob and Amber are, supposedly, back. There are plenty of Amazing Race sites listing the teams. Be careful--spoilers too.

I agree. He's an ass.
Hall is calling for his suspension. What do you think?

It the thing had been touched of by a foul on 'Melo, he probably would have. But yeah, I think you have a point that apparently instead of actually coaching his guys to win, he apparently is busy getting them pissed off about other teams being disrespectful when they beat them by too much.

Also, TM, did you see that the next Amazing Race is an all stars edition? Starting in February... Teams have not been announced.

Only watched Survivor sporadically since All Stars. This season was good, but I couldn't watch it because I found Yul to be such an idiot (for revealing he had the idol). The others, though, were even bigger idiots for not voting for Yul solely to make him use the idol and level the playing field. I have been yelling that at the TV for weeks. I don't understand why Yul was considered such a Godfather on this one. Ozzie clearly deservied to win.
As for Amazing Race All Stars, I already have my cast wish list: The Cha Cha Chas, Jonathan and Victoria (but they probably won't do it since thay had a kid this year), Blake and Paige, The stupid Harvard Law girls who couldn't read the clue and follow instructions, so many.
Did anyone else catch the Reality Stars Fear Factor when Johnny Fairplay was toying with Jonathan and Victoria and Joe Rogan kicked Jonathan's ass? That was possibly the best 30 seconds in the history of reality tv.

I suppose it's better than a million stories about either how people are rushing to buy last-minute presents or mail last-minute presents. Or how stores are considering last-minute sales to turn a mediocre shopping season into profitability.
And, how is it that stores aren't profitable? Americans spend more money on useless shit, worse even than tomato and onion salads. Yet stores somehow can't turn a profit?

Mostly, I think the less I have to think about TO the better.
I personally don't get all that bent out of shape about spitting stories (to me it isn't all that much worse than verbal insults as it has no lasting effects), so maybe a suspension is a bit much. But it is TO, so I won't be upset if the league disagrees.

Have you seen the video of Thomas telling 'Melo, "Don't go to the net again"?
It's amazing.

he was one of the Bad Boys. what do you expect? do you think if Laimbeer of Mahorn were on the court Anthony would be driving at that point?
And the foul really wasn't that hard, was it? Can someone link to video of it.

All the time, our customers ask us, "How do you make money doing this?" The answer is simple: Volume. That's what we do.
We have been in this business a long time. With our experience, we're gonna have ideas for change combinations that probably haven't occurred to you. If you have a fifty-dollar bill, we can give you fifty singles. [ "We can give you fifty singles" ] We can give you forty-nine singles and ten dimes. We can give you twenty-five twos. Come talk to us. [ "We can give you twenty-five twos" ] We are not going to give you change that you don't want. If you come to us with a hundred-dollar bill, we're not going to give you two-thousand nickels.. [ "We're not going to give you two thousand nickels" ] - unless that meets your particular change needs. We will give you.. the change.. equal to.. the amount of money.. that you want change for!

Shoplifting. And bad checks. Bad checks are unbelievable expensive to collect on. I don't know why anyone anywhere still takes checks. And employee theft. Security is expensive. And still, people will slip and fall (hi NB!).
