Sniff.

Hey Flinty, let me know when you get your internet device up and running.

Right. I went with the UK sizes that seemed to correspond to my US size and they came to me a bit larger than I expected.

ETA: I'm shopping nordstrom.com's (not nordstroms.com) sweater department right now (xmas gift cert from mom to spend) and I'm shocked (!!) to learn that Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. brand has hoodie sweaters (1) that I actually like (her taste is a bit out there) and, unfortunately, (2) that cost $465 each!! For a hoodie!! I think I will not at any point be an owner of any L.A.M.B. clothing.

My children start many a conversation with "Do you know what I heard in school today?" to which I invariably reply "Given that I wasn't in school with you today, how would it be possible for me to know what you heard?"

I wouldn't be annoyed if they didn't pause after their question waiting for a response before they continue.

I think that the conversion charts probably aren't as accurate as the general "one size up" rule of thumb that they give out. I used to sort of throw up my hands and ask the sales person to guess when I bought clothes in the UK because I always guessed wrong.

What is a "Free Gift"? Do any of you usually pay for gifts?

I say "AAAAAARRGH" every time I pass. My kids anticipate it right after we cross the railroad tracks (to the wrong side of the tracks, of course).
Have I got a flickr group for you.

Perhaps they think you have an eavesdropping or wiretapping device. You know, to use one of those requires a warrant if you are a government agent.

I particularly like the e-mails I get telling me that I'm using the phrase mistakenly. For whatever reason, they're usually from conservatives coming over to bust my chops after I've posted a comment on a conservative blog.
