My grandfather used to ask me what I'd learned in school that day.
I'd say, "nothing."
He'd say, "I guess that's why you're going back tomorrow."
I now get to do this with my son.

The DU is not conservative, it just looks that way from your position on the spectrum.

ppnyc is the one who brought up the DU. Y'all can talk about it off-line.

I can see how the sizing might get screwy. Since I bought a wrap dress (which I tried on but haven't actually worn out of the house yet), I think I prefer more rather than less fabric.

Curse you, ty slothrop.
When I skimmed over the posts, I figured that was what penske was talking about and I thought, "Well, that's not exactly one of the social clubs, is it?" Though it is the most likely candidate for beer pong I suppose.

I have also found that their clothes run large, so sizing up as they suggest overcompensates. I wear a 6 or 8 in skirts and when I took my measurements (honestly! I literally took out a measuring tape) and ordered the size the table suggested, the thing literally fell off me. It felt like a 10 or 12.
Math is hard.

None taken. I am just glad we were able to talk through our issues in a thoughtful manner and reach some measure of common ground without a lot of deragatory rhetoric. It's heartening for the future...especially with an election year coming up.

When the Wonk Princess was in first grade, we used to have a ritual we went through every day. When I got home, we would ask each other the same three questions:
What did you do in school/at work today?
What did you learn?
What did you have for lunch?
Sometimes, when she needs a little boost, she still asks me these questions.
You may all feel free to be utterly charmed by me now.

My wife went to two Ivy League schools. Where do I rank on the coolness scale?
