I'm going to tell you a secret. Please don't tell anyone.

And I can see why bn'b would want to give her ex a bit of time to get used to the idea that his kid is going to meet one of bn'b's friends. The bottom line is that she is wrestling with the difficult balance between what is optimal for her and what is optimal for her kid. Giving the ex a bit of leeway for a bit of time on the issue of sleeping arrangements when his daughter is around makes sense to me in this context.
Of course, this assumes that the ex is not a complete dick -- I am pretty sure that bn'b has indicated that this is the case.

1. You are one of the few people who uses the short form of my name correctly (or at least, as I prefer it). I love you for it.
2. You understand completely. And I thank you for it.
3. You've met the ex. I believe you can confirm that he may be short and round and bald, but that he is not a dick.

I believe he has not had an overnight guest while the Brazenette has been at his house. It's easier for him, I suspect, since she spends all but 4 nights a month sleeping at my house.
And he hasn't taken her on vacation yet, while I vacation with her regularly.
I think the real truth is, he hasn't met anyone he wants to be part of the Brazenette's life, and I have. Which makes for a challenge.

I was the bf in this situation once. It got very ugly -- threats from the ex not to return the kid when his weekend time was up, lots of nasty things said to and about me and/or her in front of the kid, etc.
I wish you luck, and hope it never goes that way.
Of course, I don't get the impression that you ex is a heroin addict, so that probably helps.

My mom makes peas slathered in bacon fat. While we were visiting for the holidays, my daughter ate about a pound of peas (impressive considering the Siddette is not yet 2). Mrs. Finch was amazed, because she doesn't usually like peas. Which led me to point out this same basic truth. Virtually anything tastes good if it's coated in bacon fat.

Isn't the "n" short for " and"? So wouldn't the short form be b'n'b? Not that I think you should allow such petty rules to dictate your preferred short form. I'm just wondering if I am missing something here.

I have Czech beer glasses. They rock, but I never use them.
If I use them, they might break.
