I'd be more concerned if they hadn't been so plentiful and cheap all this year. I think I've eaten more avocado in the last 9 months than I have in the entire rest of my life combined.
Have I mentioned that I love avocada, even if it isn't a vegetable?

A local grocery store has been carrying their version of rice krispie treats (which tastes like every other version but doesn't bear the Kellogg brand name) for a year or so, and every now and then I'll cave and buy one. Makes for not having to keep marshmallows, rice krispies and gobs of butter in the house. I stopped by yesterday before the games to pick up a few, and I was told that apparently there is some sort of shortage of a key ingredient and they haven't had any for awhile.
I'm sad that the marshmallow shortage hit before the avacado shortage.
I suppose I'm going to have to start keeping rice krispies, marshmallows and gobs of butter in the house now.

That sounds delicious. Do you use salt and onion-free Lipton Soup mix too?

Red beans and rice.
They can't play football in New Orleans, but they know a thing or two about food.

Me, too. One that is closer in, and ultra-modern. Like one of those white contemporary places that they always featured on Miami Vice. Seeing that I am not a multi-millionaire and live in an area where the sense of style seem to be planted in the mid-1800s, I'm out of luck.

No it does not. It's an abomination, just like fat-free ranch.

I am with you 100%. I used to try to make the dip with the non-fat sour cream, but it just isn't even a close approximation of what it should taste like. Without the fat there to mellow things out, it's way way way way too salty, and the texture's wrong, too. Save the non-fat sour cream (the Tillamook version we can get here is basically sour-cream flavored yogurt--skim milk with active cultures) for applications where it is used plain as a garnish, as on burritos or enchiladas.

Or as ESPN put it, "good enough." Please. He managed, but that's about it. No big throwaways to no one, like some other quarterback on that field, but that's not saying much.

I am apparently the only one who thinks that the Saints got screwed on the second "fumble" that they lost (as I have heard no one else complain about it). Sure, the ball "moved" before his knee was down, but since when is that the standard? Dude still had possession of the football when his knee hit the ground, thus not a fumble. That the ref couldn't get it right even after watching the replay is astounding.
Of course, it was completely irrelevant in the end.

So I'm most likely to get a ticket? Hm. Why does that not surprise me?

here's the one I thoguht blown. When the Colts center recovered the fumble, the ball was at his hip level and on the 1/2 yard line. it looked to me like he pulled it over the line.

Cupcakes made from Duncan Hines yellow cake mix and topped with Duncan Hines chocolate fudge icing. Very tasty and nostalgic, although I preferred the Devil's Food/vanilla icing combo from last Sunday.
Either makes an excellent breakfast.

They didn't review it, but I agree that it didn't break the plane before he was down. I don't think that the fact that it was a fumble recovery should have changed this, should it?

When you can throw for a couple of 30-plus yard drives to a touchdown on a consistent basis, you can throw stones.
Until then, it's just whining.
