Maybe chocolate chips in, or use cocoa krispies, but I don't go for chocolate on them. And I'd use mini chocolate chips, not the regular size.
You are making me hungry, and it is not yet lunchtime.

Save the non-fat sour cream (the Tillamook version we can get here is basically sour-cream flavored yogurt--skim milk with active cultures) for applications where it is used plain as a garnish, as on burritos or enchiladas.

I really don't like fat-free anything. Skim milk tastes like white water. Do any other countries drink it?

What I really want is another person living in my house, and he comes with two more dogs in tow, and so a bigger house will be in order.
But I don't think I really want a new house, so much as I want a new joint tenant with rights of survivorship.

That the ref couldn't get it right even after watching the replay is astounding.
Of course, it was completely irrelevant in the end.

I completely agree with you, except I don't think it was completely irrelevant. It gave Chicago a short field and confidence and kept The Saints defense out there even longer. If the Saints had mounted any kind of drive at all at that point (even if it's a field goal), they're not playing catch-up and it's a different game. Worst call I've seen in a looooong time.

Also agree, but they were making up for the fact that New England scored the same way, except one of their players in the pile pushed the ball forward into the end zone. Illegal.

It is the only kind of milk I can drink. All other milk just tastes like heavy, fatty, cream to me. Agree to disagree?

From the NFL Rules:
Possession: When a player controls the ball throughout the act of clearly touching both feet, or any other part of his body other than his hand(s), to the ground inbounds.
Fumble: The loss of possession of the ball.
Doesn't this mean that the fumble occurrs when the player loses control of the ball? He lost control of the ball before his knee hit the ground. Consequently, it's a fumble.

You'd be wrong. According to the internet, and the internet is always right. Right?

That one looks pretty cool. I think I'd have to tear down my house and build another if I were to do something like this, though I have kicked around the idea of putting a Weehouse in my back yard.
ETA: I swear I didn't see Hank's post before I posted this. Hank clearly has been following the prefab movement as closely as I have.

I'm in love with the prefab movement, and one of my best friends just started a construction/development company using shipping containers.
The prefabs are all over the map in terms of pricing and fit and finish, but I think there are some pretty cool ones out there. They're generally more cost effective than building most of the house on site, and they tend to be eco friendly.
You should head over to the National Building Museum and check out the Glidehouse for an idea of what they can do with these prefab houses these days.
|
It's something that I've thought about a lot. I would love to have something built for me, even a pre-fab. There are a few things holding me back: 1) having the money to buy a piece of land closer in, and having a new house built on it, while being able to afford living in our current house; and 2) ensuring that by the time that I buy a place to be torn down, the local jurisdiction does not outlaw tear downs.

I saw an entire show on HGTV (I admit it, I'm a junkie) about pre-fabs. They run the gamut from the ultra-modern places that you'd see in Dwell magazine, to updated traditional styles (like Arts and Crafts).

if you build your house on the ocean you wouldn't need to buy land.
I used to be able to find scripts of TY shows so you could quote identically- not anymore- fucking IP lawyers.
