Fuck Oahu. Go to the Princeville on Kaui, or the Marriott on the southern coast of the island (its really nice for a Marriott... It used to be a Westin before a storm wrecked the place a decade ago).

I just received the list of things that we need to have stocked for Fringey's weekend trip:
- We understand Ms. Benefit may be visiting you soon. congratulations. In order to ensure her visit is most enjoyable for you and her, and to avoid unpleasantness, we require the following be in your larder prior to her arrival:
applewood smoked bacon- 1 lb per day
pancake ingrediants
3 fresh donuts each AM (edit- thank god there's a Tim's down the street)
Coffee ready at 8AM each morning
Deli meats and breads for lunch (assorted)
potato salad 1/2 lb per day
Belgium beers 4 per day of visit
assorted chocolate bars (1/2 dozen per day)
Ribeye steaks for dinner each evening (bone in)
baked potatos and assorted toppings
stir fried vegetables
Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir choices for each evening-
(vineyard at host's choice- but $25 per bottle range)
Fresh coffee after dinner, Sambuca and Bailey's for coffee
1 Case of Sake (edit- typo? maybe she meant 1 bottle?)
Crackers and cheeses
Whipped cream
Ice cream
Assorted cake
Also you should plan on taking Ms. Benefit out to dinner at least 50% of the evening she will be visiting. Lunch should be out at least 33% of the time.
We have found that careful preparation and attentino to the detailed instructions listed above are most likely to allow you to complete your visit with a minimum chance of incident.
So I've got all that, and I'm ready for her. But I've been trying to think of what else to have in case she wants a snack or something. Ideas?

Virgin birth expected
Quote:
CHESTER, England - In an evolutionary twist, Flora the Komodo dragon has managed to become pregnant all on her own without any male help. She is carrying seven baby Komodo dragons.
"We were blown away when we realized what she'd done," said Kevin Buley, a reptile expert at Flora's home at the Chester Zoo in this town in northern England. "But we certainly won't be naming any of the hatchlings Jesus."
Other reptile species reproduce asexually in a process known as parthenogenesis. But Flora's virginal conception, and that of another Komodo dragon earlier this year at the London Zoo, are the first time it has been documented in a Komodo dragon.

How do they know that a male komodo dragon wasn't visiting her cage when the zookeepers weren't around?

Ah, yes -- it was the Marriott I was at, on Poipu Beach. I can't remember a thing about the inside, but the location was good. The north side of the island is wetter (= more bugs).

Maybe it is the Tara Connor School of komodo dragon-ism.

Is Kaui one of those new volcanic islands? Sounds exclusive.

Why on earth would you need Sauvignon Blanc?

My next-door neighbor makes homemade Kahlua. She brought me a big bottle the other night. That's some good shit.

So this is about you and not Fringey?
Because if you've been paying attention, you know that she doesn't eat seafood.
