And it may open the door to the MFF; win-win!

Read this. I think you and David Byrne were at the same art event in Miami earlier this month. I'm too lazy to scroll back to check your post.

I didn't get to go. My brother did though. I missed having drinks with Andre Balazs.

This is what my friend that is from Hawaii recommended:

but on Oahu, her sister and her hubby stay here on west side of island (Ko Olina) each year:

http://www.ihilani.com/ (it’s a JW Marriott)

If you want to get away from hustle/bustle of crowds and traffice, Koalina on Oahu is very nice.

In Waikiki – Halekulani, Moana Hotel & Royal Hawaiian (both elegant and historical)

http://www.gohawaii.com (Hawaii State Visitors Bureau site)

Kauai: (favorite for honeymooners)

grandhyattkauai.com

http://www.princevillehotelhawaii.com/

Molokai: http://www.molokairanch.com/

Molokai can get boring for younger people – remote and nothing like Oahu (too many people, cars, high rises)

What do you mean? You take the waterslide down and the beach is right there. Plus they have that cool little lagoon thing.

I hope you at least had the brunch. Holy crap.

I liked Oahu. All I did was sit on the beach soak up the sun and drink blue hawaiians.

Molokai is a leper colony, no?

Neither happy nor sad. My reaction was "I'd like to fuck her. I have no interest in anything else about her, or that decrepit cotton-candy headed buffoon pimping the cokehead." In the age of net porn, supermodels and pay per view penetration, who in their fucking right mind watches a beauty pageant? You'd have thought that crap went out when R Rated movies came into existence.

Somebody plug Donald's hellicopter with a surface to air missile. I'm sick of the asshole.

Maybe my visit predated the water slide? I just recall that it seemed like a hike to get down to the ocean. But the lagoon was cool.

We read about the brunch, but had just had one of those meals and couldn't face another so soon. Wall. of. Food.

hmmm. Interesting post.

Yesterday was my first evening at this art fair. The collectors had arrived earlier today, or maybe they got in late yesterday.
I was told that the major collectors got there on Tuesday and pretty much bought the main fair out two days before it opened. My brother got there on Thursday night (aka the "yesterday" above), and he said that the smaller fairs were still bumping with commerce. Some of the pieces were even affordable for someone like him, though he didn't buy anything. He also said that every night they'd rearrange the art so if you ended going back to the same fair, the booths would be totally different. There was so much art there though, it was hard to even consider going back. I don't think he hit all of the fairs in the weekend that he was there.

My brother said that the airport had more private planes hit Miami that weekend than ever before.
