One the plus side, it can easily be returned for something she really wants.
Trust me... this is one case where it is totally the thought that counts. You could send an amaryllis and it'd be appreciated. Neither of them is expecting anything for their efforts.

True, but it's the opportunity cost for them that made it expensive. Their rates are ridiculous (but they get away with it, so more power to em).

Which Tarot Card Are You?
I am inexplicably also the sun! This makes me happy.
I've had my cards read twice in my life, both times after VERY disturbing events in my life. Both times the readers said things that gave me chills, even though I really don't believe in that shit -- they seemed to KNOW things, you know?
The first time my most prominent card was the Devil (the second worst card in the deck) and the most recent time my most prominent card was the Tower (the absolute worst card in the deck). The tarot reader was pretty accurate about a lot of things and then told me that I would continue to have a lot of drama and pain in my life, which would be long. I was in tears until the tarot reader flipped the card representing my future, which was the Sun. YAY!!!!! So I will be really really REALLY HAPPY!!!!!

The associate (female, and now a partner) is loud and obnoxious, but really went out of her way to help. She has two kids and, besides being loud, is very down-to-earth.

Really nice picture frame(s).

WASHINGTON, Dec. 20 — In a letter sent to hundreds of voters this month, Representative Virgil H. Goode Jr., Republican of Virginia, warned that the recent election of the first Muslim to Congress posed a serious threat to the nation’s traditional values.
Mr. Goode was referring to Keith Ellison, the Minnesota Democrat and criminal defense lawyer who converted to Islam as a college student and was elected to the House in November. Mr. Ellison’s plan to use the Koran during his private swearing-in ceremony in January had outraged some Virginia voters, prompting Mr. Goode to issue a written response to them, a spokesman for Mr. Goode said.
In his letter, which was dated Dec. 5, Mr. Goode said that Americans needed to “wake up” or else there would “likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Koran."
_______
The fracas over Mr. Ellison’s decision to use the Koran during his personal swearing-in ceremony began last month when Dennis Prager, a conservative columnist and radio host, condemned the decision as one that would undermine American civilization.
“Ellison’s doing so will embolden Islamic extremists and make new ones, as Islamists, rightly or wrongly, see the first sign of the realization of their greatest goal — the Islamicization of America,” said Mr. Prager, who said the Bible was the only relevant religious text in the United States.
Fucking disgusting. And no, I'm not going over to politics. That's all I have to say on this one.

In case anyone is interested, a Boston historian comments on Goode's foolishness.

I'm the tower. But in all fairness, Less is too and SEC chick I think. Are we all the worst?
I used to have my cards read in the Tremont Tea Room in Boston, prior to when I used to dabble into it myself....became very familiar with the major arcana.
the guy predicted I'd be married and how many kids I'd have. I was single at the time.

I had my cards read once. It was really creepy. She was very accurate about events in the past and really depressing about events in the future. She actually predicted my brother's death (he's still alive and kicking 14 years later). The love of my life is apparently a guy named Andy and I'll meet him in Arizona. I'm going to Tucson in March, wonder if I'll meet him then.

The way it was explained to me is the The Tower represents impending total destruction of something, be it a relationship, belief system, etc. Do a google search. There's a lot of info out there. If you get The Tower as your most prominent card in a reading it is not a good thing.....unless you believe that total destruction is good because it allows you to rebuild. I was at a point of total destruction when that card was flipped as my most prominent.

I am the Wheel of Fortune. I didn't post it because when I saw that I was the Wheel of Fortune and that Ty (who started this thing) was also the Wheel of Fortune, I figured maybe that was the only card it ever said that anyone was. Wheel of Fortune sounds pretty good, but I know nothing about tarot cards, so I'm going to stick with it. I always figured myself more as Jeopardy! than Wheel of Fortune, but if Pat Sajak lets me spend my money on laminate tv cabinets and crystal figurines in the living room showcase, I'll be pretty stoked.

Do you have some kind of annoyance coach? Everyday I think, "There's no way she could get any more annoying or stupid." And yet, every single day you top what you've done in the past. It's like you are on the cutting edge of idiocy. You're a real retard-innovator. Why don't you hold a press conference, announce that you've accomplished all that you can on this board and go pro. We wouldn't want you to get injured being stupid here. That'd just be a waste for such a talented moron. You need to take it to the next level. Be stupid at the highest levels of stupidity.*
Good luck and thanks for everything. We'll never forget you.
