I dislike Crystal Method, but very much enjoy the Fleetwood Mac.

The question isn't whether I'm too drunk to fuck, but whether I'm too numb to finish.

what I was going to say, and didn't because I didn't want to hear shit for it prior to the holidays is you take the banker approach to business casual, which I love. canali jeans, cashmere v neck and gucci loafers. that is their standard operating uniform. that looks neither downtown nor sloppy.

AoN there is a quilted chartreuse burberry trim jacket I want. with plaid cuffs that turn up. or they have a Barbour one.

Or there was a change in the router's settings. Have you done the turn the router off for a minute turn it back on trick yet?

I have to do a variation of this somewhat frequently at home. I usually do the unplug the phone line from the router and plug it back in, coupled with the reboot the laptop trick. Does the trick 75% of the time, I'd say. But that is only since Mr. Man stripped the MacAfee stuff down. Now my computer tells me it is not fully protected all the time. Do they build that stuff only for people who don't connect to the internet at all or what? Why is it all so crappy about messing up internet connectivity?

I am presently wearing Gucci loafers someone bought for me because they know I like nice shoes. These shoes are not nice shoes. Santonis are nice shoes. These are overpriced Ferragamo lookalikes. Gucci shoes are for people who want to show you they are wearing Gucci shoes. John Lobb are really fucking nice shoes, but nobody knows it except the guy wearing them, as they have no identifying features.*

That said, what people buy me, I will wear. And they sound kind of cool. The buckle thing jingles like a spur when you walk.

*I guess you could tell people you had John Lobb shoes. You could announce to people that you got them on a killer sale, which would still make you look awfully "prosprus."

I know for many people at your firm, cargos and a sweater would be pretty close to daily attire. Throw a lightweight jacket over it and I would think you'd be good to go.

You think better dressed like a slob. I get twice as much of everything done sitting at home in a ripped old t-shirt and surf shorts. I used to think wearing a suit made me look important. What a jackass. Nobody who makes any really decisions and has any self confidence dresses up anymore. The old farts who bitch about the kids looking like shit these days might as well be crying about the cost of McDonalds hamburgers jumping from $.25 when they were kids.

I guess so but I don't want to look like *that* asshole in a shirt that looks like a dress and leggings and lucite platform pumps.

ugh

I'm not even feeling it this year. I haven't spent my bonus I rec. copious amounts of cash and g certs this year and they are all sitting there. Other than my video Ipod and my Law & order season subcription I'm not really craving any special item. so strange.

Since everyone else's computer is connecting to the interwebs over the router, I am highly reluctant to mess with it.

I don't think that turning the router off and back on is going to mess up the connection for any of the other computers. However, I also don't think its necessarily a router problem. Do you have multiple web browsers? [ie7, opera, netscape?] Perhaps try one of the others?

I don't think it's a router problem -- I think I had this problem with my home router when I first set it up, and only wish I could recall how I solved it. I've tried IE, with no luck, alas.

I think it's an OS setting, so I'm messing with those. And will be for the whole weekend....

Can you ping an IP address?
If you go to your network folder and right click on the wireless connection for properties, is TCP/IP checked?
Check out this discussion, see if it helps:
