I mean, you ordered a burger, fries, and a shake, handed them a buck, and got change!

Hatred with the intensity of a large-ish number of suns seems to be a handy catchphrase for describing some of the emotions being expressed from time to time, such emotions leaving darkness in all of our souls. So, in recognition of this most holy time of year, I would like to come right out and admit that there are some on this board whom I like, and a far greater number about whom I have no strong feelings one way or the other. But I do not affirmatively hate any of the posters here on Lawtalkers.

I was otherwise engaged. Plus, once I learned that the Pisco Sour is the "new hot drink" at the M&S, I figured I could only go there if I was wearing a diagonally striped shirt and effeminate pants, or whatever the hell people were wearing five years ago.

My best wishes to all of you and your families.
Have the happiest holiday since since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny Fucking Kaye.

Hey, wait a minute. How did the hearing go? DO NOT tell me you are going to leave us hanging over the long holiday weekend.

My place is suits Monday through Thursday. I don't mind it because I really never been able to get the casual Friday look together. Flat front chinos and a blue button collar shirt with loafers is the one outfit I have been able to cobble together and I keep wearing the same one until the pants smell like dirty diaper, then I buy new pants.
For me there is "bum look" and Paul Stuart suits and really nothing in between.

It's insanely frsutrating.
The issue, as I'm told, is that my router is not accepting my computer's IP Address. How I cure that I have no idea. I'm just going to throw out the fucking piece of shit router and buy a PC-compatible product. I like Apple's stuff, but save the ITunes (which is wonderfully easy), its all more trouble than its worth. Fuck Apple.

Try talking to Appl again. I had the same thing and the com.apple.airport.plist, the preferences file, went bad. I basically had to delete my old network and create a new one. Took 5 minutes.

Is this limited to this board or the interwebbian chatting blogosphere as a hole?

A couple of times, briefly, just after re-establishing the connection with the wireless network, I can retrieve some of a page, but then it stops working. This makes me think that the problem is a setting on my laptop. I'm using XP. My Windows and McAfee firewalls are turned off. I'm running out of other ideas. My sanity over the next few days probably depends on the combination of internet access and alcohol. Help me if you can....

I had this problem this summer whilst on vacation in the south of France, and can offer one peace of advice, do not, as a remedial measure, take hold of the laptop screen from the top with both hands and slam it shut as hard as you can. Apparently, that does not fix the problem and actually could cause additional complications.
Word to the wise........also, eitherwhichway, drink heavily, although try to spring for at least something in a screw top-it's the holidaes.
