I've never had an Abboud shirt. Dunno why. Almost all of my shirts are Nordstrom's house brands.

Tell that to the Zegna cords I purchased a few years ago. Never again. No one really wants to see the outline of my junk and/or butt cheeks. Do Italian men actually have genitalia? Where do they put it when they wear pants?

I said good. I don't want to look like an extra in Mel Gibson's latest movie.

I have some T.M. Lewin shirts that I like, but I think you can only get them in the UK or online.
my complaint about British shirts in general, including Tyrwhitt, is that they offer only one sleeve size for each collar size. In order to get shirts that fit my neck, I need to have a couple inches taken off the sleeves. By the time I pay for the shirt and the extra tailoring, I might as well go custom.

Aboud shirts are by far the fullest cut made.

Make brooksbrothers look like a tube top.

The Italian guy I worked for was very tall, thin and athletic. But you sound approximately the same budy shape. He only wore flat front pants; very slim cut. A lot of Dolce and Gabanna he had some really beautiful clothes.

As usual, I will answer with a non-fashion driven response. I like the Brooks Bros. no-iron shirts. Primarily because they don't need to be ironed (or laundered if you are a lazy person with money to waste). They now seem to some in additional colors and patterns too, which is an improvement.
A question for the board: if you were playing FB Matchmaker, would you hook Adder up with Sunny or with PPNYC? I'm torn.

Zegna casual clothes, and their biggest selling off-the-rack lines, are cut for the male equivalent of Nicole Richie. They are for junkies and the AIDS-ravaged men who love and share needles with them.

I need to replace the one I just got rid of, but traditionally, I have owned one made-to-measure Zegna suit. They've always cost about 25-60% more than any other suit I've owned, but they look fantastic and I've only had to buy two in over 20 years.

And people wonder about the causes of voter apathy

Here is a particularly telling photo of the switch of power from one old, conservatively-dressed white guy to his clone.

Sunny. Thurgreed may be living in denial, but he's destined for ppnyc.

This guy makes regular trips to the US and has added shirts to his repitoire. Thomas is not taking on any new suit customers, but he is taking on new shirt customers.

I've gotten a couple of good Zegna suits off the rack from Century 21 over the years, but the older of the two no longer fits me as, ahem, comfortably as it once did. I know nothing about Abboud shirts or suits, but I will second the observation that Brooks Bros. shirts are cut like circus tents.

And because I know you are all dying to know, I think I have decided to buy a certain J. Press grandpa suit I saw yesterday. The two I have seem indestructible and have proven to be good investments. This is the dawning of the Age of the Geezer.

Based solely on how you post. I so cannot see you in J. Press. You post so "youngish" and J. Press is so........not. wow.....seminal moment in your clothing maturation.

Dear Ironweed -

I may be heading to Canada this weekend, do you need any foreign cancer sticks? I'll be in NYC at the end of the month and can deliver them then.

Best,
Anne Elk
