You can fool some people sometime, but you can't fool all the people all the time.

They can't cut it, as there is a biblical injunction on that, but they do wash it, frequently.

bulldykes and bisexuality
so I am sitting barside at my local watering hole this weekend when the mother of all bulldykes sends me a beer and invites herself to sit next to me. She asks if I am gay(!) and I said, while I feel that is some ways my life would be easier if I were (because a miserable spinster loves company), I have given it soeme thought and i just am not into vaginas. Tits, yes, vaginas, no." her conclusion is that I am bisexual. Now, if I were bi, I would be that annoying chick you knew when you were thirteen who would never ever let you go past second base. wtf was she thinking (besides wishful thinking)?

When Paigow gets back, she's going to fucking flip.
We should start talking about sex and reality TV immediately, lest she takes this as irrefutable proof that the board cannot survive without her.
P.S. You're still wrong about "Put Down the Duckie", but I still wuv you.

Probably one of the many people who believe that when you get down to it, everyone is bisexual.
Especially after a couple of drinks.
Or she was, you know, drunk and trying to convince you to get into bed with her.
Either way.
I love you too spooky one. But I still won't have a 3some with you and your woman. Nor will I allow your duckie to watch. So give it up.
(Is that better?)

BTW, what's the verdict here on whether Bert and Ernie are gay?

Tax and maid question
We hire a maid to come by every so often. She usually brings a couple folks to help. By the end of the year, we'll probably go over the tax threshold ($1400?) in payments, but it's for 3 people or so, even though we make out the check to the head person. Assuming I want to comply with the law, must I withhold taxes and/or pay social security, or may I consider the payments to be to three people, so that the total for each is below the threshhold?
And, to spice things up, assume, regardless of relevance, that one of the three also provides sexual favors instead of cleaning.

I believe they are all independent contractors, especially when there is a business where two of them are under the control of the third. Do the sexual favors come from the person in control, or one of the subserviant ones? If not from the one in control, is the person to whom you are writing the checks in a position of control with respect to when, how, and with what tools or instruments these services are performed? This can make a difference.

With the exception of the sexual favors, we just say clean, and they do. But the IRS seems to think that maids in the house qualify for their regs.
Maybe I should call Justice Breyer to get a ruling.

Come now, leagl. I've never made anything beyond purely platonic advances toward you. You must be confusing me with Greedy. FWIW, my wife's not bi. Not even when she's drunk.

Your daily moment of zen- today at 2 eastern time
For those who werent up at one am watching the Oz open and didnt catch Mark Phllipoussis practicing topless, they are replayhing his match today at 2 (I htink they will show him since he is a featured player since he is an Aussie and he finally is seeded top ten). It is a breathtaking sight to behold. get to a tv. I have never been so filled with longing and despair at once in my life.
I defy anyone to find a hotter man in the universe. remember that he is six foot four, with an oustanding bod and perfect martini glass chest hair. oh my god.

The IRS would, of course, be wrong. The question of whether they are an employee still applies, and the IRS's position generally sucks, but the IRS will continue to apply it in a situation where it will never be worthwhile to fight them, so take the right position at your own risk. For the IRS's publication on the issue, see here.
We will save my Zoe Baird diatribe for the PB. She was screwed, even without having her household workers providing sexual favors.

Maybe she's talking about his ant trail. Perhaps he has martini glass hair elsewhere . . .
