Some of it was made by nice Scandinvian folk with a passion for making sushi at home. I am certain that none of them are Itamae.
But you have again shifted the discussion. Because you are probably too inebriated to remember it, I will recap. I asked if one could make ceviche from any fish you found in the supermarket, or whether you needed fish sold as sushi-grade. You basically responded that sushi-grade was something that only a trained Itamae could determine, and that supermarkets and fish distributors made off-the-cuff determinations as to what is sushi-grade and what is not based on how fresh or old they happened to think the fish is. I responded that, based on my limited internet research, in American markets sushi-grade has a different meaning then the one you want to ascribe to it -- it has some objective characteristics. In other words, the blather you pulled out of your Blue Period ass about Joe behind the fish counter making ad hoc decisions about labeling the "good" fish as sushi-garde and the "bad" fish as non-sushi grade is . . . well . . . I think you know what it is. Or at least you will when you sober up.

Worse still, and more particularly the thong is today's mojito.
Chef--your urgent attention to this matter is needed.

I don't get this at all. I can see dropping hints about wanting to get married or engaged or committed or whatever, though it seems a lot more productive to actually have a discussion about it. But unless someone specifically says "hey, I'm buying you an incredibly expensive small rock, do you have a preference on which kind?" I'll just be gracious and happy about what the rock means rather than what it looks like/weighs/cut/clarity/etc. This probably explains why no one goes out shopping for rocks for me.

Oh no. Not from her. From one of her friends. And I asked her friend first. And it wasn't "she wants this particular stone from you." It was "she has never really liked diamond rings."
I've never been pressured to get engaged or married. Or buy an expensive ring. I can honestly say that she would be happy with whatever I gave her, although I'm sure there are plenty of women on this board who will probably disagree with me.

If you take this advice without additional confirmation, you are a moron. Many women "don't like diamond rings" because they think that diamond rings are properly reserved for engagement rings.
This is a thought to be encouraged, frankly, although I've discovered that married women seem to lose this particular reservation after the ceremony.

I like "Centerfold" about as much as the next guy, but if Roger Marris doesn't make it into the Hall of Fame, these guys shouldn't either.
