I apologize if this had been mentioned earlier.

From today's NY Post:
  • Us Weekly said Spears' prenup caused the "technical" delay, as Federline was "unhappy with how much he stood to gain if the marriage dissolved."

The prenup gives Federline only "$300,000 a year for exactly half the tenure of their marriage" — a pittance, considering Spears' $32 million bank account.

Other bombshells in the document, according to the magazine, include:

    * "Britney shall have no financial obligation to contribute to the support of [Federline's] two children."

    * Any gift worth more than $10,000 either gives the other "requires a legal document [stating] who will own it if they split."

    * Should they split, Federline is not allowed to kiss and tell.

Oddly, the prenup also states Spears "represents to her knowledge she is not pregnant."

It also states that the wedding on Sept. 18 was meant to be staged and that [the couple] intend to marry on Oct. 16.

As first reported by The Post, Spears initially did not even want a prenup, saying she and Federline were so in love she didn't need one.

But after pressure from her mother, father, manager Larry Rudolph, lawyers and Jive Record executives, Spears agreed to have a one drawn up.

Federline, who was so broke in July his car was repossessed, apparently didn't take the news so well.

Originally, Spears was only going to give him $36,000 a year, which caused a huge fight between the two. After they made up, the prenup was amended on Sept. 17 to give him the higher amount.

So when this thing craters before the year is up [start the clock], will she have to pony up the full $300K or do you think it gets pro-rated?

I ran across it will answering tax questions on the other board and trying to figure out if it's worth it or permissible for me to claim any home expenses as deductible business expenses.

But, yeah, I was fantasizing about dtb's kids wondering what all that noise in Mommy's bedroom while Daddy is in his home country for a week is.

Help!!!!

Anyone know how to get rid of a black horizontal line in Word that keeps appearing as some sort of an autoformat? I have a Judgment to present tomorrow morning and it's got big black lines running not-so-attractively across it!

I know there is someone out there that knows this - where are you?

What version of Word?

If it is a horizontal line running across every page, it sounds like you created a border.

If you have Word 2000, to remove a border:

On the Format menu, click Borders and Shading, and then click the Page Border tab.

Under Setting, click None.

If you have Word 2003, then click on help and type in border. Then try to find help on removing a border.

Movie Recs?

Can anyone provide a rec for a good movie to go see this weekend?

What I have recently seen (so don't suggest):

Riding GIants
Collateral
Borne SUpremacy
Napoleon Dynamite

Anything else is fair game.

Thanks

Bunny

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

I've decided to have a movie weekend, since it's been awhile. I'm planning on seeing Sky Captain and/or Hero tonight at the big multiplex, and Garden State and/or Silver City (I love both John Sayles and Chris Cooper) tomorrow at the more artsy place. Shaun of the Dead also looks promising and has made the list. I keep meaning to see Maria Full of Grace, but I'm not sure if it will make the cut this weekend. I heard a fairly decent review of the Motorcycle Diaries this morning on NPR, but I don't think it's here yet. Sunday's movie watching will entirely depend on how footballed out I am.

You can check for a composite of movie reviews at www.rottentomatoes.com. It's not entirely fool proof, but they do go through all major (and a lot of minor) movie reviews and give average ratings to everything, and they link to all of the reviews for that particular movie. This is a direct link to reviews of movies in theaters right now.

I saw the Corporation in a sneak preview a few weeks ago, and I really liked it. I think it was just released nationwide. Oh, and I loved, loved, loved Before Sunset. If you liked Before Sunrise, I think you'll probably like Before Sunset. The Bourne Supremacy is still out in some places, and I really thought it was good. Also, Spiderman was much better than I thought it would be. If you haven't seen that, you might want to check it out.

Sky Captain was an enjoyable movie (how can you go wrong with Angelina Jolie in leather?).

Despite so-so reviews, I kinda want to see Vanity Fair because I like costume flicks. Mr. 3000 also looks good.

Here's the only problem I see: Britney is too man-dependant to ever leave him until he does something really awful, so it will last more than until the end of the year, because he's not going to walk away from his cash cow...it'll take until she gets full-time fat and her star has faded and he starts nailing other chicks and fathering other babies out of wedlock for Britney to leave him

I forgot about A Dirty Shame. New John Water's film, NC-17.

Quote:
"A Dirty Mind" is a mess -- I'd give it a 3 out of 10 on the craftsmanship meter. But it also represents a spirit of old-fashioned stick-to-itiveness and resourcefulness that even the far right should admire: The movie gets to where it needs to go by good, honest humping. What could be more American than that? In these troubled times, "A Dirty Shame" is just the movie the nation needs. It's good clean fun for unrepentantly dirty minds.
---end of Salon's review.

Playing at both art houses.

Hmm.. I could just stay at the greenway all day on Saturday.

Party on My Pole

A group of college students have been disciplined for installing a stripper pole in their room and having a pole-themed party were fully clothed women were photographed performing on the pole.

http://news.yahoo.com/fc?tmpl=fc&cid...__State_Issues

Though a schoold spokesman said the students "may have violated the university's alcohol policy and broken rules against indecent behavior and the making of unapproved changes to university property," it seems like what they're really getting in trouble for is having a party where girls voluntarily pole danced. It sounds to me like everyone was having harmless fun, and I really don't see where they did anything wrong. And I think that Jacksonville University is missing a great opportunity to absorb this activity into their curriculum, sort of an on-the-job training thing.
