Tomorrow Night

In a cd karaoke bar
By the banks of the mighty Bosphorus
Is a Japanese man in a business suit singing smok gets in your eyes
And the muscular cyborg German dudes dance with sexy French Canadians
While the overweight Americans wear their patriotic jumpsuits

Catfight!

So am I the only one still watching America's Next Top Model? The field is getting pretty small, and you know what that means - the gloves come off. This week a girl confided that she hoped one of her best friends on the show would really fuck up so that she wouldn't have to go home, and from the previews next week it looks like things continue to head downhill.

You and barely, I think. My exciting life is too chock-full-o Amazing Race, Survivor, The Biggest Loser, the Apprentice, The Real World Road Rules Challenge, Lost and masturbating to the idea of Rachel Hunter on Gilligan's Island.

So you aren't still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model?

If you live in the Bay Area, the problem with trying to see the Warriors play is that you have to travel unacceptable distances -- but for Sacto, which is often sold out -- to do it. The only other possibility is to go to game at the Colliseum, but it's such a horrid venue that it's not really an option.

Just think of them as going to sleep; you'll be happier.
Posted on the old board, but what the hay. When our cat was put to sleep, it was *not* like watching him go to sleep. It was still the humane thing to do, in light of his varied and sundry ailments, but it would have been less of a downer had I known.

I don't think she would mind. The U of Minnesota has a very good hockey program and we are almost honorary Canadians. However, I would expect her to point out that the mascot doesn't actually play.**

**(In answer to the inevitable "huh?" responses, the U of M's team names are the Golden Gophers and the mascot's name is Goldie.)

Not according to my amazingly heavy Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary. Its says the "forte" in music comes from the Italian word meaning strong or loud but the nonmusic "forte" comes from the French fort meaning a fort or strong point and is one syllable.
