If you recall, I suggested this a few years ago. You could have been a trend setter.
ETA: Please note, I was not the suggested bride. My heart is true to Lester.

Once again figuring the Jews must be onto something being able to dominate the world with only 0.23% of the population, the Knights Templar strap on a pair and ask for some Papal love of their own.
I wonder if they'll integrate this little plot twist into the "Da Vinci Code" movie.

A Dutch actress getting ready to be in Playboy, wanted to quell boob-job rumors
Quote:
Dutch actress's breasts confound doubters
By Lester Haines
Published Monday 29th November 2004 12:26 GMT
Dutch actress Georgina Verbaan has confounded those critics who doubted the authenticity of her mams by publishing impressive x-ray profiles of the suspect assets on her website - as promised last week.
The results are conclusive proof that the 25-year-old did not surgically enhance her jubs in advance of a €200,000 photo shoot for the December issue of Dutch Playboy. This unkind suggestion immediately provoked a "Boobgate" scandal which has gripped the Netherlands as firmly as Governor Schwarzenegger's clammy mitts on a hapless female's posterior.

apparently you can tell from this.....

I was not aware that GWNC had moved to Minnesota, but welcome.

Sideways
Seen last night: Sideways.
I like Paul Giamatti. This flick wasn't bad. Not spectacular, but his movies never are. He is very good at capturing that sour mood we all get once in awhile (mostly during work hours). And his ability to make you believe these moods makes his funny lines even funnier -- because you're so grateful that he has removed himself from the realm of the depressed. I recommend it, although it might be better as a rental. (Then again, what independent films aren't?)

hmph. The poop from the horse's mouth, to mix metaphors in a gross way, if Eric Lindros is a reliable enough horse and pooper, is that nothing, absolutely nothing is being done and the lockout could drag on for two seasons.
Again, wah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bridgeport, CT apparently has an excellent arena and a decent team. And only a train ride from the city. In all likelihood, I will be making an appearance there soon.

I was discussing this with my brother and his wife over the long weekend. They're both disgusted and think it signals the end of the NHL as we know it. The greed on both sides is too much to overcome. It's kind of sad that there hasn't been more press coverage.
I find it interesting that players are willing to play in other countries/leagues for $500 a week but won't agree to salary cap. According to the GWNC-ette in the Star Tribune article, Scott Gomez says it's not about the money, but in talks between the owners and the NHLPA it is about the money.
So, will the minor leagues move up in stature and become the new NHL? Will the owners and players realize that they are just screwing themselves and come to an agreeement?

Is there a contractual reason the NHL can't use replacement players like football did? I'm not taking sides, just wondering if that could at least end the impasse. Every year there is another crop of great new players coming up that haven't gotten used to 7 figure salaries. They might be willing to play under a cap.
