True. The show has become Survival of the Jerks. Although who knows whether any of the early-eliminated couples wouldn't have become asses too, if they'd stuck around. Gus might have sat on either Jonathan or Adam if given a chance.

I liked the cousins team that was defeated by the haystacks a while back. The only early-eliminated team that I was really happy to see go was the two women from Brooklyn or Queens (I forget which). I don't care if you've never driven a car before. If you find out you are in the running for TAR, you fucking learn to drive standard. I don't want to watch hysterical crying breakdowns for shit you had control over before the race started. I can't even imagine what would have happened if they were still in the race when teams had to drive those crazy beater cars in Germany.

I figured those things were jokes (although I do understand that some genius purchased the sandwich for tens of thousands of dollars... but maybe that was an urban legend).
This thing is for real!

That's ridiculous. A reasonably coordinated person should be able to learn to drive a manual transmission in five minutes with a drunk instructor. I know at least a half dozen people who have done so. I can't remember any of their names, but I remember that a couple of them were hot.

(That said, whether the show is good or not, the TWOP summaries are excellent, not least because the reviewer replaces all subtitled dialogue of the Korean couple with, er, sexually explicit lines.)

BRC: Lost makes me wish I'd watched other JJ Abrams shows. I think they're going to keep it interesting in fresh far longer than it ought to be. With the great flashbacks/backstories, they can work this forever. I think there will be some great upcoming political divides in the tribe that will replace or at least supplement the boogeyman stuff.
And yes, Evangeline Lilly . .. hot and Canadian. Mmmm, freckles.

Agreed. Although the term "cousins" in their case I believe meant "half-sisters". Regardless, they looked far better in bathing suits than did jonathan in his red underpants/girdle thing.

I think that there are a lot of otherwise intelligent and coordinated people, both male and female, who just can't learn this stuff easily. I agree that they should be able to, but they just can't. Maybe it's related to growing up sheltered or something else, but I've been both the teacher and an observer manyatime where a manual transmission driving lesson has been attempted, and some of them just don't turn out well.
Then there are the stupid and the uncoordinated. Those people are impossible. It's like a woman who can't give a decent blowjob. Actually, it's not that bad, because I can always drive the car myself.

Between Kris flipping into the pool and half of that team weirdly rotating towards her friend/sister/cousin with hose as if she is urinating on her, the first couple of shots of the intro is pretty hot. If you are into that stuff.

Am I the only person who finds Boston Legal unwatchable, despite a life long love of James SPader, bc it is so ALly McBeal? Tell me this has changed.
What is celebrityfitness challenge? is it a bunch of celebrity fats working out? Also, add the dog whisperer. it rawks. you don't need to love dogs to lvoe the show. in fact, its more absurd if you dont.

It's bizarre that several people here thought I was getting separated, just because I mentioned fantasizing about GWNC and Abba. No, no, no, my marriage is strong, in fact I'm going to have to start monitoring the LWK board soon.
Ta-daaa.

It's even more unwatchable without such a love. He was entertaining when it was the Practice (although the show had fallen off of a cliff already). Now that he's working for Ropes, Cage & Fish, the entire thing is unbearable.
|
No love for Shatner? None at all? Y'all are a bunch of grumpy grumpersons. The skeet-shooting/hostage scene was the best scene I've seen on TV this year, outside of the opening 5 minutes of Lost.
