It has nothing to do with religion. Has more to do with why I disapprove of people wishing other people dead.

You were so close . . .

Though, sometimes I wish I were so powerful. e.g., wish I'd been able to cause stealth bombing of str8's office when he was such a moron.

edited to add picture. Pictures!!!!! And to note that I would like him to survive the bombing. I'm sure those "bomber" things don't really work anyway.

Note: there is no conflict.
If she's lazy AND dumb, you can invent precedent-
"no, that's the specific holding of in re Cicero, 234 F.R.D. 239." then you bill for research everytime she bothers you. This would be better than your way- Fringey is bothered when people wish other people dead.

On a MAC your legs run much faster than on a PC. It's disconcerting. I haven't seen if other moving avatars speed up also.

For the real soccer geeks, Dwight Yorke is playing again for TT. (I wonder if he likes crow.) No, this is not a reference to his skin color. A few years ago, Dwight made a big deal about retiring from the TT national team. He was too busy playing big league EPL soccer for Aston Villa, Man U., Blackburn and now 14th place Birmingham.

Other scores:
England and Holland are tied nil-nil (half)
Greece 2 Denmark 1 (2d)
Germany 2 Argentina 1 (half)
Hong Kong 1 Brazil 7 (final)
Yorke is a joke, and Celtic fans the world over almost shat themselves when it appeared we might be signing him at the last minute during last summer's transfer window. Thank god that fell through.

But now we have Craig Bellamy, who scored both goals for Wales tonight and apparently was on fire. He's due to start this Sunday in the league (away to highland giants Inverness Caley Thistle), and will make his home debut next weekend against the hated huns. Good times, good times. Even if he is a wee nutter and ugly as fuck.

For a second I was wondering what you were doing posting from a make-up counter.

Sorry I can't be more entertaining for you flinty. FWIW, my rack is in its proper position today: esconced in a non-sweaty bra.

I love this. "Appeal to the feds for relief"?

I have this client who is always calling me asking me what the status of something is, because opposing counsel called his client, who called my client, all of whom are complaining that I haven't sent them something yet. Here's how the conversation always goes:

Client: Hey mmm, how come you haven't sent that document to opposing counsel yet? They say that they expected it by last week.

mmm: I'm still waiting for you to give me [critical piece of information, part of document, whatever that really needs to go in there before it gets sent out]. I can't send it out until you give me that. Other than that it's ready to go. Remember our call last week where I asked you if you wanted me to send it without that information, and you said to wait?

Client: mmm, I really need you to tell me when you're missing information you need.

mmm: I sent you two e-mails and left you a voicemail on the subject, remember? I'll forward the e-mails to you if you like. Were you able to get your e-mails when you were on vacation in [exotic locale]?

Client: [blah blah exotic locale was great yadda yadda]. Ok, well, thanks for calling. I'll catch you later. Cheers. Namaste.

mmm: Wait, when are you going to have the information I need. Or should I send it without the information in it?

Client: What information?

And this guy makes probably five times what I make. Fucking self-made businessmen. Some of them are smart; some of them are lucky.

See, now that's entertaining. More discussion of racks, less cites to F. Supp.

You can't fire me, 'cause I quit. I will probably continue to do something web-based, maybe sell t-shirts or some shit. And to those of you who don't already PM with me, good. Because I hate you.

I've noticed that, too. Another MAC anomoly is that I do not have a "post reply" button (on both Safari and Explorer), making posting from home a challenge. I can only quote myself or others. The "new thread" button is there, not that it does me much good.

Strange religious stereotypes

After the whole "Mormons don't have things on their walls," I have to ask about this here. Someone on an e-mail list I'm on mentioned offhand that Sephardic Jews are less likely to be observant, particularly as to kashrut, than Ashkenazic Jews. I'm pretty sure he's talking out his ass (wouldn't be the first time)--any of the MOTs here have a reaction to this?
