So do you have any recent experience of testing out different brands? Preferences?
|
Back in the day, we used to prefer whittling them from Poplar because Pine was just too sticky.
I haven't used a condom in a long time. I don't even know what differences are.

Abba, I would not personally advocate the use of wood ones. High probability of splinters. Ouch.

I don't think there is a huge difference among the various standard options, but then there are the lambskin ones ....
But, protection for STD is not as good.
But I think you should go with some kind of a theme - like maybe have the ABBAkiss logo imprinted on them.

THis reminds me - I have always doubted the veracity of the statement "ribbed for her pleasure." Betties? Is there a rib/pleasure relationship? Or is this just another cynical marketing ploy directed to guys who are trying to do the right thing?

Consumer Reports - Jimmy Hats
I like the fact they pointed out that you should "never re-use a condom." But what if you wanted to use it for some kind of decorative use, or to make a water balloon? Is this verboten as well? All in all, this Consumer Reports report is somewhat superficial.

Au contraire. Back when we used them, I definitely noticed a difference. There were two Trojan ribbed-ish ones, and one was better than the other, but I can't remember which one ("shared sensation"?). Especially nice when used with an angle of entry designed to stimulate the G-spot.

The ribs and the like do nothing for me. In fact, they can be irritating. Non-spermicidal lubricant is a key feature (or bring some rastroglide).
FYI, Kimono brand condoms (bought sort of as a joke) are so small as to be unusable.

I find that most condoms hinder sensitivity. Anyone recommend a brand that hinders sensitivity the least? Is there such a condom that once it is on your forget it is there? I have never found one.

Um, yeah, but she seems to be looking for recommendations as to brand or whatever. Hence the statement that, aside from the bio-disturbance of spermicide, if there is any input, it may come more from guys. I recall that there was some discussion of brands on the old board.
|
I don't like the taste of spermicide.

This is an interesting point. I had never considered that putting a latex layer between the penis and the vagina would hinder sensitivity, but you may be right.

Yes - the kind that comes off once you're going at it.
If you're forgetting it's there, it's probably come off.

I am new to this board so I may be missing some of the nuance and sarcasm. You are kidding right?

don't ask this woman for condom advice
USA - Mary K. Letourneau, the former Burien elementary school teacher who had an illegal intimate relationship with one of her sixth-grade students, plans to wed the man she was convicted of raping.Letourneau, 43, and Vili Fualaau, 22, plan to wed April 16, according to an online bridal registry. (isn't that sweet, we can chip in and by her a gift.)
Recap
Letourneau was a married mother of four when she began a sexual relationship with the then-12-year-old Fualaau. She was pregnant with Fualaau's first child when she was arrested in 1997 and ordered to serve a six-month sentence for second-degree child rape.
One month after she was released, Letourneau was caught having sex with Fualaau in her car. She pleaded guilty in 1997 to two charges of child rape, and gave birth to the couple's second daughter while serving her 7 1/2-year sentence. Fualaau's mother is raising their two daughters, aged 6 and 7.
The wedding will likely be held in a Seattle-area church, Soriano said. Details are yet to be completed, but plans call for their daughters to be flower girls and Fualaau's nephew to be a ring bearer, he said.
The couple's bridal registry at the Bon-Macy's listed 31 items yesterday, including a full set of Villeroy and Boch casual china and a chrome KitchenAid mixer. (if they're registered, couldn't the media figure out the wedding date at least?)
Fualaau is unemployed but has been studying for his GED and working on his artwork. He's also been meeting with gallery owners to discuss the possibility of exhibiting some of his work, Soriano said.
A match made in heaven.

Sex or something else
A quiz. Pix of people - you guess whether they're having sex or doing something else. The question pictures are work safe - the answer picture are not. Even though they're blurred in just the right spots. The header on the page is not. Do quiz at your own risk.
Sex or not sex
I got 13/16
